Try switching hdr on/off in windows settings and also try switching game between fullscreen/borderless window. Sometimes that bug happens with windows hdr. But at least for me hdr works correctly in WRC. But it's possible that it's a gpu driver issue.
The game does not allow you to swap between windowed/fullscreen if you are in HDR mode. Toggling the HDR switch in Windows didn't help either.
The game definitely detects that HDR is on for windows/monitor, since it enables that option in the game menu. The problem is that once I toggel HDR on in the game it mutes the highlights and flattens the image. Bumping the brightness up raises the highlights, but it also raises the shadows so then everything is super washed out.
