Re: My Team driver stats broken?

@tn132 Also for a reason most off us can’t understand. But All teams in career and my team have 2nd driver facilities. Also the boosts from those facilities affect all Ai drivers. So yes they are broke because it’s a stupid thing.. But for some reason it’s also by design.

Big teams start with all spec 2 facilities. Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren. So that gives all Ai drivers +10 to all their starts…. Important to note that stats top out at 100. So any driver from those teams that has a 90+ stat is actually 100. After a quick look you’ll notice all the top drivers have a Racecraft and pace stats off 100

Now that you mention it kind of make sense all big team should have that facility at least at 1 or 2 and it does make sense that affect both player would be weird to see a second driver much better that the first because of that facility ai wise

but I can see how that end up flattening all ai driver value to 100 with very little difference

maybe the bonus shouldn’t be +5 per tier but +2

or maybe it should just give a temporary bonus if you schedule the usage or those facility during the week

in the case of ai it would be a roll of dice each race to see if they get the bonus of that facility or not

Alpine as well this year get +10 on pace. I'm honestly amazed at how they thought a permanent increase of stats at such a high number was a good idea. Season 1 race 1 we have 5 drivers performing at 100 pace, reason why we're seeing Norris racing Alonso despite the car difference and also why Alonso is consistently behind the Merc's and Ferrari's that he's been beating all year. Get a tier 3 facility, which is easily done by season 2, and you have 13 drivers, not including icons or drivers with stats who eventually hit 85 like Piastri and Pourchaire. Albon, Gasly and Perez perform at the same level as Max and we all know what really happened.. shows how bad the feature is. Even from solely a gamer perspective, why would you spend 20mil to get Max or Lewis when you can spend half of that and get Yuki or Albon that perform at 100 pace as well? It's such a poorly implemented feature that I really can't understand how it ever got approved in the first place.

To me, it would be common sense that a +10 increase would be a single race boost and the permanent increase would be +1/3/5 but for some reason it's the other way around.

It's so frustrating since we've been telling them about it since the dominant Bottas days of 2020 and they're still leaving them in as broken as ever.

Extra frustrating that this could be an awesome career mode with how close the cars are now but they've decided to ruin it with the big steaming dump of a feature in the facility boosts. On top of that, it could literally take them minutes to fix by nerfing the numbers.

Or they could make them My Team teammate only, or put an option to disable them for all teams, a stat editor so we could manually reduce the stats by 5 or 10 depending on the team they're with.. so many potential solutions and.. they just leave it there ruining career mode for the fourth year running.

What an awful job by Codemasters not fixing/adressing that SMH

This is really an ugly feature with an easy fix lower the bonus! It shouldn’t be much code involved, and it can be done quickly

All that driver practically all at the same level is really sad. This post shouldn’t disappear in 2 or 3 pages before they acknowledge they read it

It would make such for a better experience with a 1 number fix in the code  +2 instead of +5 is not the perfect solution but a good start

Even better +1+2+3, but that would mean splitting the code into different values for the tier, so I was giving the most straightforward solution possible

@pekish79 It shouldnt even be a thing.. Not at all but if needed 1/2/3.. Its super easy, a fix of 5 minutes probably and they already had it nerfed to i think 1/3/5 early F1 22 but than backtracked for some reason..
  • I think they made it that way so a person can use the starting driver (ability 60-70) and keep them

If they like without being too penalized but they forgot that AI get the bonus too

maybe they deactivated the bonus for ai when they raised it from 1-2-3 to 5-5-5 do we any prof that the ai really get the bonus it would look like so since verstappen never really dominate much in and of my re-run of my team and often Ferrari or Mercedes seem to win so often when resbull has the best car and supposedly much better driver

It would only make sense the balance I see if all top team driver are actually all maxed at 100 that much balance over top team

@Pekish79  As @Liaveal  has suggested a couple of times the personel boosts could be reworked to increase the potential growth of a driver so this would let a player still keep their starting F2 drivers who start of worse but get better in time, however older drivers who already reached their potential or are shortly before it wouldnt gain much from it, thereby it wouldnt be anything immediate but work over a season or maybe even up to 3 seasons nor would it completely unbalance the ratings.. But Codemasters didnt implement it yet, whatever the reason may be

Yeah the F2 drivers are probably the reason for the design choice but they seemingly didn't bother to account for the fact the F1 drivers get it as well. Pourchaire getting +10 on his stats doesn't matter at all if everyone gets them, they're still the same stats lower..

Reason why Max doesn't dominate in game is he can only get 100 pace as well, so he only gains +5 whereas Perez gets the full +10 to get him to 97 pace. So what should be a difference of 8 in pace between them is actually only 3 which is why Perez is a lot closer than he should be. Same reason Ferrari and Merc are closer as they're getting the full increase. Guarantee in GP mode where there's no stat bonus that Max is the correct distance ahead of the field and Alonso beats the Merc's and Ferrari's.

The ideal scenario, as Meza says and I've suggested before us that the personnel facility gets reworked into a training facility.

But with what we have now, they can just decrease the boost to something like +1/+3/+5 so it's still a nice boost but it's not completely broken.

If they're concerned about the F2 drivers being too slow...they should be buffing the F2 drivers rather than breaking the mode altogether or making it so they actually do develop faster than F1 drivers.

@Liaveal 100% agreeing on this! F2 drivers are underrated since they started - they just take time to get used to the car but what they do is nerf them into awfullness while they could start higher with bad focus (needs to be build up) and the training facilities increasing the potential of a driver - which is already a stat in the game so it would be very simple!
  • +1+3+5 feels still a bit too much honestly (obviously not for f2 driver but that issue should be solved separately)

@pekish79 I think the way he means it is at level one they get +1, at level two +3 and at level 3 +5 not +1/+4/+9, the latter would definitely be way too much, but they should simply change it to the potential..
  • Yep I was talking a total of 9 is still to much with tier 3

It means all driver above 91 get exactly the same

I think a total of 6 max with tier 3 is better

So only driver with 94 reach 100 that is 1 or 2 and all the rest keep a bit of difference between each other

Not only I would say all team that now start with tier 2 should start with tier 1 and all other team with 0
