That one is not as good. I personally can't recommend it.
I'd still go with this model Dell I linked to before -
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5577-5335BLK-PUS-Inspiron-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B06XFGDD8PBetter processor, and graphics. Plus I've had a laptop with an A-10 processor and can definitely tell you they aren't made for gaming.
If you're trying to stick within a budget of $600-$800 then you may want to go with a desktop. As you'll be able to get a better computer for "cheaper" than an equivalent laptop, plus desktops are easier to upgrade than laptops.
Here's a desktop I found -
CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 Desktop Gaming PC

Price: $749.00- Intel i5-8400 6 Core Processor
- AMD RX 580 4GB
- 8GB DDR4 RAM
- 1TB 7200RPM HDD
- Will run game at high/ultra settings- Anonymous7 years agoThank you so much!!! This probably sounds stupid.... I just don’t like how it looks.

Is the one you posted better? Is the laptop better? - jpkarlsen7 years agoHero (Retired)
It looks fine. One minor caveat is that the power supply is a bit weak which means that if you in the future wish to upgrade the Graphics card then the PSU also needs upgrading. However the current card will run every current game just fine.
- Anonymous7 years agoI suck at deductions. What is suggested? Jails I just get amthe laptop so it is portable? Would it still be good? All I play in sims 4 and steam
- jpkarlsen7 years agoHero (Retired)
The laptop @172e3cda00349872 suggested will work very well.

I personally believe it is better for you to get a laptop that has an Intel core i5 at least, so that the game should run smoothly. However, I would always go for the highest number, so there may be less crashes and glitches. Plus, it is much cheaper than getting a desktop, and a laptop is much more portable and easy to use. The desktop is a bit more unreliable as it requires the CD's from the game to work, while a laptop only requires them once, and only to download them. I mean, the CD's for the game and expansion are very easy to lose, and the laptop, or the origin application, will save and keep the progress intact, once the game and expansion packs are downloaded, so for me the laptop is a much safer choice. 🙂

That is not correct a Laptop and a Desktop with similar specs will cost about the same. The big difference is that a Desktop can be easily upgraded were a laptop has very limited possibility for upgrading.
Also it is untrue that a Desktop requires the DVDs (It does not come on CD) Once the Code is redeemed on Origin the DVDs are not required because the game can be installed thru Origin.

Thank you for telling me, it seems you know better than me. This helps me learn more. 🙂
- Anonymous7 years agoOl, thabks I want this one the most. On a scale from 1-5 how good will it run the game? For your information I have all expansions and game packs and two stuff packs. All I would do on this laptop is play Sims 4 and torchlight 2 and also watch shows and videos. I download my sims games from origin and don’t have any gaming disks.
Thank you all so much ♥️
-maiya This is one that you've asked about before, earlier in the thread. It will play the game on high/ultra.
My main concern is the 256GB solid state hard drive seems to be the only hard drive in the system. This is a concern if you plan on having a lot of data files ( game saves, mods, cc, photos, game videos, etc.) plus other programs that might take up a lot of hard drive space.
Though you might be able to upgrade to a 500 GB solid state hard drive later though if you start running out of room, or putting less used data on an external hard drive.
- Anonymous7 years agoOk l, so if I don’t use mods and only have like 2-3 saves at atone it will be fine? And I know it is the one I posted before I just wanted a 1-5 estimate. And as I said I will only have those two games.
- jpkarlsen7 years agoHero (Retired)
With only the two mentioned games installed there will be room enough for school work and other stuff.
- Anonymous7 years agoOk thnks I think I will get that one then, will till take a while thoigh

I know I have ended this discussion kinda so thnks if you reply AGAIN. I want the computer I posted earlier but I am looking for it cheaper on different websites. So is this the same computer??? This is not the same Dell laptop I linked to from Amazon.
This particular model (Dell Inspiron 15 5570) has an integrated video card and may not run the game well.
- Anonymous7 years agoOk, thank you :-)
- Anonymous7 years agoHow is this computer compared to the one I might get?
https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Anti-Glare-Touchscreen-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B077XS11LS/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1528674905&sr=8-1-fkmr0&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=2018+Lenovo+Business+Flagship+Laptop+PC+15.6%26quot%3B+Anti-Glare+Touchscreen+Intel+8th+Gen+i5-8250U+Quad-Core+Processor+12GB+DDR4+RAM+1TB+HDD+DVD-RW+Webcam+HDMI+Dolby+Audio+Windows+10 I can't recommend this one either, due to the integrated graphics.
While it may run and play the game okay with integrated graphics for a little while you could run into problems that may make it up and quit running the game.
The game isn't finished yet, there's lots of packs yet to be released, and required game and Origin updates that can make under powered computers not run the game.
This is why we recommend the computer have dedicated graphics.
- Anonymous7 years agoOk, thanks, I am set in the one you recommended, just was looking for a cheaper one. Will let you know once I get a computer. Thanks♥️
I've tried the cheaper computer thing. It was terrible. It could play base game (on low graphics), but not the additional packs. Plus had issues with the bigger game patches and Origin updates. The laptop didn't have good airflow so it got fairly hot, like almost fry an egg hot. - Not good!!
I decided from that to save my money and get a gaming laptop that had over recommended specs and good airflow and have been happy with it and the gaming experience it gives.
- Anonymous7 years agoSo the one we spoken of before is goodish?
The Dell linked below (the one we talked about before) somewhat exceeds the recommended specs.
The only known issue I see is the hard drive is small and may cause problems when it comes to saving data files.
However, it can be replaced later with a 500 GB or bigger hard drive.
Inspiron 15" Full HD Gaming Laptop i5577-5335BLK-PUS

- Will play High/Ultra graphics- Anonymous7 years agoSo, if I get that one you are POSITIVE it will not crash with ALL expansions, game packs, etc. Sorry to be so annoying, I am just not educated on this stuff. I will pay up to $700 for a computer now.
