@DoYaSeeMe thats a pity, imo the map takes up an awful lot of the play screen and isnt necessary other than for a quick glance.

Would it be similarly difficult to have a preset botton on controller to have the map appear/dissappear  or even all the HUD content? (except the gun)

@OldTreeCreeper That depends. On small monitors, running at the lowest resolution and video quality, smaller ui elements may look too fuzzy. On big, ultrawide monitors, you can get a larger view of World's Edge, but the UI elements on the sides are further away from the main focus area, so shrinking them would make them even harder to notice.

I'd like a minimalistic UI approach, but I also think the game would lose a bit of its identity this way. Right now it's hard to distinguish CoD HUD from Battlefield's from thumbnails, but you can easily identify Apex. I think this is important from a marketing point of view.

@DoYaSeeMe I see what you mean, but I meant more as an option, kinda like Fortnites setup where you can shrink the Hud to what suits the user. In Apex's case though it might be simpler be have an option for the HUD to be on or off.

I would love the entire screen devoted to gameplay only, but i play on xbox on a large tv. I dont play the other 2 games, so I'm not really familier with their setup. Are they really that close to Apex that they are so easily confused?
