Re: Flatlines bullet velocity is too low

I can't say I notice it that often, but I usually just use my flatline for close-ish ranges. At medium or above I'm just putting shots down range as that recoil pattern still tries to betray me every chance it gets.

Also, always remember at long ranges you can swap to single-fire. Ofc you still have to factor in the slower velocity, but it's a lot easier when you can take time between each shot.

  • Recoild isnt that bad, after playing with Havoc for a while I trully didnt notice any recoil with Flatline :D (Ive spent few hours in practice range and in matches with both.).

I think if EA/Respawn could give the flatline same bullet speed as R301 has, then R301 would have a nice rival.

Its just hard to track with Flatline when targets are moving unpredictably.

    They are literally dodging bullets.

Havoc on the other hand has that TC problem,

what I would suppose to do with Havoc is to keep it warmed up after shooting for a while,

so you can peak and repeak those pesky R301 players. 🙂

Maybe like the more bullets you shoot the longer it would stay warm so people cant abuse that and just shoot one bullet before peaking.

Energy ammo is very rare so people couldnt afford to shoot 2 mags into wall before every fight anyway.

According to Bearmeow's TTK spreadsheet, Respawn had very slightly increased the delay between bullets on the Flatline. The 1 damage nerf per bullet should have resulted in a 1.04s ttk vs Purple shields but it became 1.10s now. Flatline originally had 0.96s ttk vs purple shield before the nerf.

Yes, after playing with havoc you barely notice flatline's recoil. I think havoc will get some changes in season 13.

There are several weapons which have problem with bullet velocity - hemlok, alternator and peacekeeper, although the last one seems to be working a bit better lately. Probably respawn wants to force people into close range combat, thats why this game looks like that.

I kinda disagree about lack of energy ammo - people can and should always craft it.

Short range combat doesn't require any actual skill. Its dependent on how well your gun shoots. Honestly, I hate snipers too but a marksman rifle is a great middle option. If this game becomes PK versus PK I probably won't play. It's already a low skill game. Literally anyone could win with a decent team and enough supplies.

@chgid2207083 The only viable cqc are pk, wingman, and car with the mastiff going into the package. Everything else (with the exception of turbocharged weapons) take too long to kill in comparison imo.
