Re: "Unknown" Players

@Midnight9746 This is a newer feature they added to help prevent stream sniping. In the general options is a Streamer mode setting where you can set things anon so its more private for the streamers and not toxic game play from snipers.

    @E9ine_AC Just checked, that setting only makes the killer's name random, or everyone in the game name random. And last time I used it, it called everyone Player <numbers>

    @Midnight9746Sounds like anonymous mode on fortnite players just get named anonymous#287 or something like that, the way fortnite does it your squadmates can still see your real name but everyone else will see it as anonymous but im not sure if apex is doing it the same way I didn’t even know apex had it it seems like it will make it harder to get players banned for hacking but im assuming their real name will still be recorded for reports like fortnite does it

    Edit: Nvm i guess I read your post wrong you said it made everyone else’s names random so I guess its more of a streamer mode than an anonymous mode for yourself

    @E9ine_AC You sure bro?? Can you tell me how to make it show me "Unknown"?

    Yesterday, several players told me "Why your name is Unknown?" and I'm not a streamer. This is some BUG, BUG AND BIG BUGGGGGGG!

    @E9ine_AC I saw a few small levels 10-30 with with that namе, most likely a bug. About feature you are talking about - I've seen streamers who have one name in the lobby and quite another in the game, but I think it's due to the connection of accounts with steam but not sure

    @DaBabyDa Quite sure its broke cause im showing as unknown to friends with streamer mode set to all. I am also seeing player3432 type names as well as Caustic has killed a wattson feeds. So it appears to be doing a lot of things at this time. lmao

    @E9ine_AC Dude, behave yourself. Take a look at your post above where you explain that this is a newer feature to the game. And now you change your mind that it is broken. I played 3 hours today and saw a lot of players with names "*Unknown* " & I'm not in streamer mode and they are not streamers. Please, accept it. It is a BUG.

    @DaBabyDa yes it is the feature i speak of doing this. They asked how names was showing up this way i explained how. Now on another post i also explain what ive seen myself. No story changed here unless looking to far into it. But I know for fact the streamer mode is causing these display bugs. I never said it was not bugged of any sort. I said exactly what i experienced with it and knew about it.

    @DaBabyDa Looks like something went wrong because while I was choosing a legend, my teammates were Player3815 and Player4873 and when we jumped their names have changed.
