Re: Can you upgrade your anti-cheat system?

Patching EAC is a Cat & Mouse game, this will never work, as this is a similar approach that antivirus applications take. Once you update, then someone will create a hack to get around the fix, then you'll need to create a patch to fix this hole, and it just goes around and around...

The approach has to be AI driven, that adapts and evolves, so there are no mistakes ever made, because the AI always improves and gets better, and at some point, you'll never be able to cheat against it, because anything artificial is detected, whether by software or hardware.

Just Google, stuff is out there already.

P.S. EA, I'm not here promoting or advertising, only discussing. THANKS

    @AnyBrains

    AI is in its infant phase and currently there is quite a bit of false information being created and put out there by AI driven programs, AI currently does make lots of mistakes.

    We def do not want a Cyberdyne Systems AI creation like Skynet to take over now do we?

    "I'll be back"

    Hal 9000 sends his greetings as well “ I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.”

    And we must always remember the 3 laws of robotics.

    I'm not referring to the entire concept of AI as a whole, and whatever level of maturity that may be in.

    I'm only talking about AI anti cheat, which has been around for a few years. Where it stands now, I don't know, since it's only been out a little over 2 years.

    Best to Google and you'll find it. 🙂

    @AnyBrains They should really use a different anti-cheat. "EAC" is more like "Easy Bypassable Anti-Cheat". Cheaters don't even have to worry about it because they got ways to make it not even work in the first place. Can't say how, but there's no point in having EAC as every game that has it falls victim to heavy cheating.

    EAC also has the major flaw where it 99.9% depends on player reports, which it seems to often ignore anyways. An anti-cheat is suppose to detect and ban, EAC doesn't seem to wanna do that.

    I agree, they need something different, that is why I have been mentioning the things I'm saying, because something does seem to exist already to take it in a new direction, at least it's my understanding there is something new out there already to go.
