Keep in mind that the new currency can be obtained via Apex Packs, so it's not like you have to buy them.

And honestly, I think they're doing a decent job for player experience, it's not like they're only updating the shop.

Nowadays I see players mostly talking about skins, stats, ranks, badges and whatnot, people put it in the center, as if it's the main form of content.

I mean sure, a company needs to make money, of course some effort is being put into their main way of monetization.

But the game gets gameplay updates, we get new modes, balance changes, them introducing a new currency doesn't mean they're not doing anything for player experience.
