Take the panels off the console, remove the fan and clean all vents, fan and heatsinks, preferably with a can of compressed air (held vertically).
I was ready to replace my PS5 at one point until I REALLY cleaned it and it has not crashed like this since.

I followed your advice. I took apart the panels and cleaned everything from the inside out. After getting it back together and trying madden the game still crashed within about 40 minutes. After rebooting my PlayStation again I then proceeded to play the new God of War for several hours without a single problem. This goes to show that this is some bug within the Madden game itself that you refuse to fix. It’s annoying that I can play literally any other game without it causing my console to shut down. But as soon as I play yours it leads to a problem.

I am experiencing this same issue. The game causes my PS5 to crash after about an hour of play time. I then must unplug the console to be able power it in again.
I can also play any other game for extended periods of time without issues.
Please fix this issue, I love this game but am very frustrated with the constant crashing that occurs.
This crashing is not isolated to Face of Franchise mode. I have had local head to head matches crash the console in the same manor.
