Mass Effect 2 won't start(PC)

I am trying to play ME2 again, having last played it a year or so ago but get an error message every time I click on play. The message is:

"The following file could not be found:C:\\Users\mandm\Documents\Bioware\MassEffect2\New\news7_en.bmp" 

I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the game but still it comes up.

Help!
