To me, that's a very disappointing design decision.
I hope the devs could bring the original view back.

Part of me doesn't hate it. The other part of me thinks it is an odd aesthetic choice. However it doesn't ruin the experience.
It doesn't seem like an intentional design decision. I think the AI upscaler (or whatever the tech they used was called) just upped the brightness and look on the haze that was already on Illium. I'm sure they didn't intend for the views on Illium to be covered in white, especially with it being the prime photo mode location.
