Alright, thanks for the help! So basically the Cerberus Network is useless these days, right?
Or is there still any benefit from loggin in there?
its true, if you have the DLCs registered there is not much you can gain on the CN these days.
Sorry for reviving the thread.
I'll be playing through ME2 the first time, so I have never had any experience with the Cerberus Network. I faced the same issue as in the original post and I was lucky to find this thread.
Still, I wanted to ask: is there any indicator that the DLCs are registered? I have them purchased all through Origin, but I do not want to start playing the game and suddenly realize that I am missing something.
- Go to your Origin game library.
- Click on the ME2 Cover.
- Choose "Extra content"
- Scroll down, all your DLCs should be marked as "Installed"
If that is the case, and you don't get a a specific warning at starting the game, (ME2 start screen) that some DLCs couldn't get verified, you should be good to go.
Thanks for the quick reply. It seems I am good to go!
You're welcome.
- And what happens if I get a warning that some DLCs couldn't get verified? Because I have mass effect 2 in steam and all my DLCs are now unreachable because I tried to access CN after 6 years. Im thinking about buying it through origin but I wouldn't like to waste money again if I buy them and cant access them.
You don't need to buy it in Origin.
You can redeem your Steam CD keys in Origin (Menu top left > Origin > redeem product key.) to get the game in Origin for free.
But I can't say if it will work if the game is installed via Origin.
What is the exact problem?
The main problem is that I get the message that the CD keys are already in use, so technically i cant use them on origi.
If they are already in use they are registered to a different Origin/EA Account.
Do you have a second EA or Bioware social network account?
(A Bioware social network account is an EA Account.)
So its 2019 now. I bought the ME2 dlc bundle on origin but now cerberus network no longer exists... how can i access dlc if the network isnt supported anymore? Did i just waste 25$?
I just tested, and the Cerberus network is up and running.
- @holger1405 Yeah im a * all i needed to do was update the game 🤦♂️ its all good now.
Good to hear, have fun gaming!
I have a similar problem, but updating my game didn't help:
I just purchased Mass Effect 2 and the DLC Bundle on Origin yesterday and installed it.
Then I stared the game and it said to me, that I have to log in into EA Online. Quick login, done, no problem.
But then I was told that I have to log in and activate Cerebrus Network in order to use all the DLCs. Since I got no Cerberus Key, I treid to use the activation key for Mass Effect 2 that I got from Origin. Didn't help. Then I clicked on "purchase cerberus network code" and it directed me to a website that doesn't work anymore.
So here I am, spent 10 Euros for all the DLCs and being unable to actually use them!
Please help me.
