Re: Mass Effect 2 in Legendary Edition won't launch

@TheMemeFella  Try moving the folder with your ME2 saves in it to the desktop.  Saves are located here:

Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME2

If that doesn't help, open this file path:

[game install location]\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame

and move the Config folder to the desktop.

You can put the saves back if removing them doesn't make a difference.

Thanks a ton for the suggestion since I'm at a total loss for what to do, but neither of those worked.  I tried them each individually and then together and it still booted me out.  The only change was that after moving them both together the black screen stayed for a few seconds longer than normal to the point I thought it had worked, if that tells you anything.  Thanks again though i'm surprised to get any response on the damn ea forums

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that  with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

Do you have the game on Origin or on Steam?

Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled.

Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.
