Re: [MOD/CC RELATED] My sims have no faces/Just Teeth visible

@TGFallenOne That looks like a cc issue. Are you using any mods/cc ? If so, does it happen if you remove them ?

  • I haven't tried that but I can give it a go and yes I use a lot of CC and mods as I am personally not a fan of mm clothing and hair and mods help spice up my gameplay

I know of two types of cc items that can cause the face to disappear like what you show in your pic.  CC tongues and cc 3D eyelashes.  Other cc that affects the face could also be the cause.  So, if have any of those type things in your cc, you might want to look at those first.

    Hope this helps.

  • @CGrant56 Alrighty I think I have a CC tongue? I have Kijiko's eyelashes but I use them on my main sim and her face is fine and disallowed all CC for randoms as this only effects randomly generated

Another thing it could be since you said only NPCs are affected, it might be something you don't normally use on your played sims and it is probably set to random so it gets placed on NPCs.  It could be something that is specific to one of the Occults.  I've had that happen where an overlay for my vampires kept getting applied to NPCs.  So, you might also have something like that happening.  It's fairly easy to stop by using S4S to remove the random tag on the items so they won't get used by NPCs.

    Hope this helps.

  • @CGrant56 All my CC has been moved out. I cleared my cache. All my CC are disallowed for randoms. Still no face. I even tried making a new save and still...

Wow.  That is so strange really.  Just to be sure that it is the game rather than cc or mods, have you tried making a new vanilla game by letting the game create a new "The Sims 4" folder?  Just rename your current folder to something else.  Then start the game.  It'll create a new one.  Then after you get through the new sim, etc., take a look at the NPCs to see if they have any problems.  If they do, then I suggest a game repair.

If they don't, then copy over just your saves folder from your original "The Sims 4" folder and start the game and look around to see if any of the NPCs you saw with the missing faces still have the problem.  If they do, then the save may be damaged and you'll have to decide whether you want to abandon it or continue playing as it is.  If they don't, then, you've probably missed something when you moved out your cc.  It's easy to put a file somewhere other than the mods folder by accident.  I've done it on a couple of occasions.  But to test that you'll need to copy over your mods folder to the new game.  If the sims are still ok, then you're good to go.  If not, then there's something you're going to have to hunt down and get rid of.  You didn't say, but I assume you moved your mods out too.  The problem could be something in a mod too.  If everything is ok, then you might want to move your tray and screenshots folders over to the new game as well.

    Hope this helps.

  • @CGrant56 I found the problem I didn't remove mods but a default somehow slipped into my folders which I heard defaults break the game hard a lot bc they constantly need to be updated? afterwards no face issue
  • For me as the Kijiko's eyelashes  worked individually ...  The eyelashes, however made my random Townies face disappear. After removal  Everything  worked properly :3.

( i only use those CC lashes)
