I have some old mods for food textures, I have a mod for real drink names and one to make sims take their time with grand meals so they can chat over dinner. I hadn't added any food mods in a long time.
Yesterday I added Carl's Sims 4 Gameplay Overhaul Mod. I have been trying out in a secondary save that I play when I don't want to play my main save (which has generations of my legacy family and a lot of rotational play). I also have a mod free save and a mod tester. So later today I will turn off mods and play the mod free save. See if the noodles and shrimp are gone. Then I'll take out Carl's mod and check out the remaining mods in my mod tester save to see the ingredient list.
I thought it was really strange that nothing online mentioned pasta noodles. That would make sense if it's from a mod. Most of my mods are not for food and I have had for a long time, I just update them. The CC I most frequently add are CAS and Build Buy things so it didn't occur to me that it could be a mod. Especially since I recently bought new packs and haven't fully explored them yet.- @jpkarlsen So I tried out the game with mods disabled. I did this in my mod free save using the sim that was already there. I didn't see pasta noodles but I also didn't see the gourmet food menu option. The sim doesn't have any gourmet cooking skill points. He has 4 cooking points. I thought you used to be able to access that menu... Not sure if me having it came from mods.
- @jpkarlsen I needed him to be level 5 cooking to see the gourmet menu option. No noodles there. Not sure about shrimp as I didn't notice any shrimp recipes but I could have overlooked them. Still not sure what mod is making them appear. I'll have to work on figuring that out. Thank you for your help.
