Hey @EA_Mako,
Thanks for the fast reply!
To elaborate further, I've purchased the game directly from Steam. Usually, when you purchase certain older EA games from Steam, you also get CD Keys to activate in Origin. You can verify this by right clicking on the game in your library, and clicking on Manage > CD Keys. Most of the earlier titles I've purchased from EA has managed to activate with no issues. It's just these 3 titles in particular that have these issues.
I've already linked Steam and EA accounts, but these games aren't linkable through EA and thus won't show up in my library. Most of EA's older titles won't show up, and only the newer ones will link automatically. For others, you have to link them manually by using the CD Key EA provides. For Mass Effect 1, the CD Key won't reveal itself and it'll be "requesting" forever. EA temporarily stopped giving out keys to fixed some bugs a while back, but hasn't re-supplied the key since. For new players, the only way is to contact EA to get a replacement key. Many others on the Steam forums have reported the same issue.
For Mass Effect 2, I was one of the unlucky ones that did not receive a key for the base game. Many others also had the same issue. It's pretty random, some managed to get it without any issues, while others have to contact support regarding it. I managed to get Working CD Keys for the Digital Deluxe DLCs, but did not receive the CD Key for the base game.
For Dead Space 2, the CD Key received was invalid entirely.
The 2 main reasons I want the CD Key is firstly, to activate the game in EA and have it show up in my EA Library, and secondly, to be able to download the DLCs from the EA App. These DLCs aren't readily available from Steam, and I have to manually install them through EA, as I did without any problems for Mass Effect 3. I personally don't think it's too much to ask for a working CD key for a game I bought full price for, when many others have managed to receive them in the first place.
I'm still waiting for support to give a proper response. I have a very sour impression of my experience with support thus far. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.
