Re: Game will not launch

Hi, yesterday i trying to make run the me andromeda, and after 5 hours and absolute exhausting i solved the problem and there is the manual:

For people with 64-bit windows

0) start the origin and steam, or just the origin if you have it on origin in admin mode

1) download FrostyModManager (instal it and hook it to ME Andromeda.exe)

2) right click on masseffectandromeda.exe in main folder with game and chouse properties > compability and click on 1. button from up the "run support with troubles with compabilities" (soumething like that, i have in diffrent languege then eng) after that click on button "try recommended options" > "test the program" ... the game will after that finally start, close the game.

3) after part 2) open origin and right click on image of the game and go to "Game Properties" > "Advanced Launch Options" and in "command line arguments" write the way to the exe file of frosty mod manager. For example for me it look like this: D:\ANDROMEDA\FrostyModManager_v1.0.5.9\FrostyModManager.exe .

4) for even playing the ME andromeda as vanilla version (not modded) you need played it through frostymodmanager thats the only way how i make it to work.

For people with 32-bit windows

Just in the main file with the game give main exe file of the game in the compabilites option the compability of XP_SP_3 and admin running option, and it will run. (if not the 64-bit option work here too)

Please give me reports if it work to you too 😉

I tried the steps from both of you and they didn't work for me.

I spoke with EA and they said this is a known issue and have been working on it since early January.... My guess is it is an origin issue effecting some users and EA's "best" team will get it sorted in the next half a year or so.

From what I have researched about BEX/stackhash crashes is, it is two programs trying to use the same block of memory at the same time.  Basically two programs fighting over an memory address crashing one, which means it is a VERY individualistic problem to your computer.  I have seen varying repairs but nothing constant, because of the nature of this crash.

    1)  VERY strict clean boots.

    2)  Repair of Windows install, or sfcscannow.

    3)  Updating drivers, all not just video.

    4)  Updating Bios.

    5)  Reinstall of programs after deleting and cleaning registry.

Above are all things different people have used and claimed to have fixed Bex....others haven't ever managed to fix it, and because of the nature of the crash it is hard to say what will fix it.

    @HammerJG

I doubt that this is a Origin issue, the game works just fine for me and Mass Effect Andromeda is out of studio support for years now.

The DxDiag can't identify the BIOS version of your Motherboard, make sure it is the newest available.

Also check for newer driver for all your system components on the MSI website linked above.

Try to clear your Origin cache.
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

      • Close Origin completely.
(right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
      • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
      • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
      • Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder.
(The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
      • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
      • Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
      • Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder.
      • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder.
      • In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on "AppData".
      • Open the "Local" folder.
      • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder.
      • Restart your PC. > test

If that don't works, look at this guide. to preform a clean uninstall of Origin.
    (The games will remain installed.)

      • Scroll down to "How to uninstall the Origin client the hard way"
      • Follow the instructions to the letter.
      • reboot.
      • Download this version of the "OriginSetup.exe"
      • Run the installer as Administrator (Right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > Run as an Administrator) > Test.
  • Hey EA still an issue.........followed all your steps and the asked the community.

  • similar here I have had repeated andromeda game not loading issues everytime different solution fixed the ruddy thing 2 days ago game played fine. And yet again game not loading problem this time nothing has fixed it. None of the usual suspects. Sick to death of it .
