@jasmyngm54     Hi!  You mentioned having mods.  Have you tried playing the game without mods to see if the problem persists?  If not, please try it.  I suggest moving your Mods folder to your desktop and deleting the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing. 

NOTE: Do not save your game without your mods because this may make inadvertent changes depending on what those mods are doing and, if you have any CC in your game, those will be permanently removed from the save.  Instead, use the Save As version in the Game Options menu to create a save for further testing, if needed.

If the game works properly without mods, then you can test your mods a little at a time to find which one is causing the problem.  Please come back and let us know if the game works without mods or not.
