Big object floating over lot

Hey guys!

I am desperate! I worked hours and hours on a Spa (Onsen Bathhouse) I built in Mt. Komorebi. When I tried to game-test it, my Sims could not enter the lot. There was always something in the way. NPCs could enter. So I tried to find the problem and suddenly realised there was a giant object (probably a table or something made of dark wood, maybe a slate) hovering over the lot. First I thought it was a kind of bug in the Neighbourhood overview, but it reappeared after bulldozing the lot and reloading the Spa from the gallery.
I tried bulldozing every room one by one but it did not go away. Every other thing I could think about, like something being in the way of the entrance and changing the lot to generic, I tried and it did not work. Does anyone of you have an idea? Do I have to refurnish everything?
You can find the Savefile under my name, it is called Koyumato Spa and needs a 50x50 lot!
thanks a lot in advance! ☺️

sorry for any mistakes regarding my English, I am not a native speaker!

    @cececebebebe Are you on PC/Mac ?

If so you can try delete the object (the table) with a cheat. It's a bit complicated so bear with me.

You will need a mod though so this doesn't work on console.

First, backup your save game. You will need to revert to this later on cause just redownload from the gallery won't work. Objects get new id when you reload them.

If you are PC/Mac and not opposed to mods, try downloading TwistedMexis AllCheats mod then enter the lot in build mode.

You will then need a cheat to destroy the object but unfortunately it's a dining table and you have quite a few of them. You need to know the ID of the object to destroy it, so the easiest you can do is delete room by room (bulldozing won't work cause that removes the table) to limit the number of dining tables left on the lot

If you remember where you put dining tables you can also just go ahead and delete all the legit ones.

Once you have done that, open the cheat console and type

    - testingcheats true
    - objects.list able (this is not a typo, just use the small letters not the capital one)

This will give you a list of all tables still on your lot. Find a 1x1 dining table. If there are still multiple listed, you will need to go through them one by one.

You will notice a long number starting with 0x0 after the name. That's the id

Open cheat console and type the following two cheats.

    - objects.destroy <ID>

This should get rid of the tables. The whole lot will get a bit brighter once you delete the right one. Write down the number somewhere as you will need it later. You can also check live mode  map view, if it's really gone.

Once you know the ID of the table, close the game without saving and reenter or load your backup.

Go into build mode again and open cheat console then type

    -  testingcheats true

    - objects.destroy <ID> (ID being the number you determined to be the faulty table on the test save).

Another option I can offer (in case you're on console or have troubles) is that I remove the table for you and reupload it to my gallery for you to redownload again.

  • No, unfortunately not. I thought I fixed the problem with the Sims not entering the lot by moving some plants around and adding stairs but it did not work.
thank you a lot for looking into this!

  • Thank you so much for your assistance! I will try to fix it tonight and tell you how it went!
sounds doable. ☺️ I am on Mac by the way.

  • Hey Crin,

today I finally found time to try. I am down to two tables left and one of them should be the faulty one. But unfortunately it does not get destroyed by the cheat. I tried typing it in various ways, with or without space, <> or [] but it still remains. Also the total number stays at 56 tables left (only two dining 1x1). Do you have any idea?

Hope, you had a wonderful Christmas! 🎄

    Thank you in advance!

@cececebebebe do any of the tables get destroyed ? it should be just the plane number without any brackets

So for example (random number): objects.destroy 0x0384840374
  • Yes, I had to reload the lot from the world map. It is gone! I will now try to destroy it in my actual save game and then hopefully the Sims will finally enter!

thank you do so much for your help!!!

    I am so unbelievably happy!
