if anyone else has the same issue as me and your MAC doesn't let you download the sims4 studio batch fix - I amended my settings and it downloaded and the batch fix worked :D
I followed this:
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Preferences, click Security & Privacy 
, then click General.then the option to ignore the warning for sims 4 studio was already there so I just ignored the warning and downloaded it
