First Time DX Hung error with lower resolution than 3440x1440. God Damn. 🙂
I have the same problem, I can play the game but every 10 or 20 minute my game crash, "dxgi_error_device_reset".
I bought the game on steam, i tried every thing suggested, nothing worked. I then got a refund from steam and bought it in EA App thinking it might be related to steam, same problem... I got a refund, but i really like the game so i bought it on steam again and will wait for a refund because right now it's unplayable, the game crash in a race and i lose my money for the inscription etc,,,
Windows 11 Professional 22H2
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT driver 22.11.2
RAM 32,0 Go
Motherboard Asus ROG Strix x570
Power supply corsair 850 Watts
Playing the game at 60 HZ instead of 120 hz seams to make it less buggy for me at 4k resolution with FSR 2 enable.
I hope for a fix soon from EA or from a AMD driver... a game like this, in that condition shouldn't be sold. It seams like they don't test their game.
Try the above mentioned fix for an AMD system, I was able to get mine running no problem, it has nothing to do with wide screens as was previously mentioned.
I have a Asus xg438 4k 16:9 screen
I tried deleting de cache in shadercache from my game file in Steam and in document folder.
I tried AMD smart access memory on and off
XMP profile on and off
BIOS Update
Installed last AMD driver
Repaired the game via Steam
Put my alimentation system to high performance.
Used the command SFC scannow (no error)
I monitored my GPU temperature, never go up to 75 Degree (max temperature allowed is 110 degree according to AMD)
I tried with and without FSR, 60hz and 120 hz.
Low and ultra setting.
Repaired all my Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable
Turning off AMD superposition and Xbox game bar. Still get a crash every 30 minutes to 40 minutes after playing....
I only have default GPU overclock from Asus TUF
I always run the game with AMD CHILL limiting my fps to 60 (for less overheat) and I use Radeon enhanced sync.
I will search for the fix that you said to have worked for you. But I would have preferer you to share it with me instead.
Edit: I did what was suggested (using the AMD older driver 22.5.1) and it seams to work for me. No more crash in 1 hour of gameplay so far. Thanks.
But now, when I try to play Call of duty Modern Warfare 2, it asks me to update my driver for better performance... I tried playing and it seams fine so I will stay like that
nobody from EA replied to this thread - nobody cares that we can't play
why don't you just uninstall, ask for a refund and get Forza Horizon 5?
EA is not worth our time and money.
- @GoT_u_RoCKeD That's what I got too, dxDevice -> CreateHeap.....
