When trying to edit a player, do you still see the spinning circle in place of the player?

  • @EA_Aljo I am also still experiencing this issue after the most recent patch update. This originally surfaced with the update released in Late Jan/Early Feb.

    To Repro the issue: (On Xbox Series X)
    - Have a custom roster (In my case, it includes 50 created teams, no created players)
    - Merge custom roster with most recently release online roster.
    - Go into Creation Zone -> Create Team
    - Begin to scroll to select a created team to edit.
    - At this point the loading spinner in the top right begins to rotate.
    - The game then immediately crashes to a black screen and reverts you to the Xbox Home screen.

    I have create a team and put a lot of young players to it so i can edit them if i want, but when i go to edit players on my own team everything just crash and send me out to the xbox meny.

    I can’t go in to my created teams and edit them too

    and another bug is when you play in franchise mode your player will slow down in the right corner on your side of the rink (not every time but to manh times to accept)

    And as usual everytime I message you on EA I’m gonna bring up this:

    Please remove the alumni text from Quebec Nordiques so it look better when we use them in franchise mode… and make their arena and fans nicer

    Do either of you have a video of this? We haven't been able to reproduce it yet. That would really help. Thanks!

  • @EA_Aljo  Video uploaded from Xbox Series X showing the repro steps.  First part of the video is showing Create A Team functioning as expected.  Then merging my current roster with the most recently released online roster and re-entering Create A Team.  At this point the load icon in the top right begins to spin, and then the video stops because the game crashes and I am sent back to the Xbox Home screen.  This issue began for me with game patch 1.40 in January, so I haven't been able to use any of the last 5ish online roster updates for my active roster.

    I deleted all my savings so now it works for me but now i have to make all my created teams again 😒

    Is your current roster a custom one that was created before the most recent update was released?

  • @EA_Aljo Yeah, I began creating teams on this same roster basically since the game was release and had been merging it with each new roster update without issue until game patch 1.40 was released in Jan.  Since that patch, any attempt to merge my roster with an updated online roster results in the crashing behavior exhibited in the video I shared.  So at best, I think I am 6-7 updated roster releases out of date.  

    It'll be super frustrating if the only solution is to delete/rebuild all the created teams on a new roster.  I'd invested a pretty significant amount of time in building those custom teams.  Unfortunate that it seems a significant bug was introduced to this functionality. 

    Side note: I really appreciate your time in helping to problem solve this!

    Unfortunately, your old roster is most likely bugged. Which is why this keeps happening. I hate to say it, but I think you're going to need to create that roster again. I'm very sorry for the frustration with that. I know you all put a lot of time into creating them.
