How could this still be happening ??
I play the game from the 90s. Started on sega but what is happening through the last 3 generations is unacceptable. Same mistakes over and over. Balancing the lower level players and players from scandinavia by things like skating speed and poke checks working on one side and not on another. I played about 300 hours in NHL23 and still didnt get how are we supposed to handle this. I am div 2 player. My team is overally good ( https://nhlhutbuilder.com/builder.php?team=zi5mi2f6a4 ) - synergies are not correct, but when I play against a lower division player I cannot hold the puck. My TOTY players are not shooting on the goal, AI is on a vacation, passes are going through the legs and everyone knows about the goalies. Also I must say that I score a goal and it is miracleously not allowed by a refree.
Also when I am dominating the game and have double shots and time on attack than my opponent I cannot score a goal because of miracleous performance by an opponent goalie. Despite my goalie gets goal from every position, even maybe from the popcorn seller in the stands.
COME ON. Even when I know what the player is going to make I didnt do the play because ..... i dont know. I was relegated to div 3 because I lost 7 matches in a row because of things like these. EA could you explain to me WHY is this still heppening ??
And please could someone explain to me HOW I can stand and how to get fair conditions to play ???

I am a Div2 player as well and I can also dominate some games and lose, and there is nothing more frustrating than losing games repeatedly because of bad luck on your side VS insane luck for your opponent.
But to be fair to the game, if you win 5-3 despite the issues, you won't notice them as much, but they are still there.
The opponent goalie making insane saves in fine, as long as it's not 100% of the time one sided. Same with passing or shooting being off or players stuck in mud.
Here's the bottom line.
I win between 11 and 14 wins in Hut champs and stay close to Div 1 border and then slide back on the snake's back as soon as I come too close to Div1 gauntlet games.
I took my PS5 during holiday's vacation where the connection was very average. Won 9 games with tons of luck and lost 75% of my Rival games where all of the known issues were everywhere and all the time.
The quality of the internet connection matters a lot and you can also try to connect your controller with the USB cable and see if there's a difference for you.
