- @RatedxPGxEnigma If Football Club (formerly FIFA) and Madden don't switch engines then there is no chance in hell we see NHL switching engines because they would need to buy a license for the other engine to use. We all know Unreal is superior but probably not worth the gamble and cost to them.
@KlariskraysNHL
Im'a sucker for new Technology, especially when it comes 'to my NHL game', im freaking desperate, take what-ever I get.
Would be cool news for 24,I would most def tune in.... 😊🎉🙈🙊🎁 I like to live on the hope that things will work out just fine. (at least I try).

@KlariskraysNHLIt doesnt matter what types of technologies they run if they're all on Frostbite. These games need a new engine overhaul entirelyFrostbite is versatile, yet cumbersome. Although reports from a few years ago indicate that internal EA employees weren't huge fans of it, I think we need to expect that the engine has evolved since then.
If you spend time playing an NHL game from prior to Frostbite, and then move over to '23 - there really are some massive changes to lighting, animations, physics - if you're looking for them.
I think we need to remember that '23 wasn't given the attention it should've due to COVID. They (developers) were also still transitioning much of the tech over into Frostbite and getting acquainted with that I'm sure.
I expect a lot from '24 and the article about SAPIEN tech being introduced is exciting. I hope it's also being done for NHL, but we'll have to wait and see.
