Re: NHL 19 auto passing How to Stop?

Sorry, are you talking about passes to your player or from your player to somebody else?

If you are autopassing the puck away, it's because you tapped the pass button right before it got to you. You could have been asking for the puck right after the ai tried to give it to you.

If you are referring to the awful passes the AI make, well... that's just how the game works i'm afraid ☹️.

You have do small things like not hding up on your right stick (initiating a one time shot pass) or tapping L1 before and while receiving the puck (though this can cause your player to get all borked).

When receiving a puck after pass while breaking out of zone the player receiving passes it on its own. This is not because pass was pushed prior. It is consistent and annoying.  It does in other parts of ice but mostly when passing while getting into break away

  • Have you got any answers on how to stop autopass on a breakaway? Mine automatically does this only on my controller though

  • I'm having the same issue playing NHL 19 NHL 20 and NHL 21. Once I pass forward to a player to breakout, he just dumps it down the ice or passes it off to another player even though all I have done is to keep the left stick in the up position to continue skating.

What control scheme are you using? Also, have you tried a different controller? Normally, when this happens either you're pressing up on the right stick, holding in RB/R1 and pressing up on the right stick or you're hitting the pass button again and are one-touching the puck to a teammate. If you're absolutely positive none of these are happening, it's very possible the problem is with your controller. What system are you playing on? If it's Xbox, make sure your controller has the latest firmware. That can be found at Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
