I have this issue on FIFA 22 all the time. I am on PC. I switched out my USB and I actually got like a month of clean games. Then boom, started happening again. I find it hard to believe I am frying USB cables because it works fine on all the other games I play. Rocket League, etc.

Is this still happening in 24? I refused to get it until under $40 which is almost there lol. As far as I can tell atleast for me it only happens on NHL. Haven't tried any other ea games. I was able to reconnect once about a week ago after, but I was only able to do it after several tries with a non elite controller. It's so annoying.
Probably. I haven't had my controller disconnect yet in NHL24 that I can remember. But the minute it does I'll let you know the result.

Have not had this happen yet using an Elite 2 controller. I also haven't seen any reports of it.
This happening to me right now! It’s annoying. I just got my red series 2 elite with the paddles and I’m playing call of duty black ops and the controller turns of mid game and turns back on. Then at other times it will completely freeze movement. It’s amazing when working but this seems like a major issue. I’m super annoyed with it. I can plug it into my system and it still does it.
Community ManagerCoD is not an EA game so I can't help if it's related to that game. Regardless, I recommend contacting Xbox support for assistance.
I had this issue for FIFA(EA FC) series and it was because R3 button for me. Combinations could be different but whenever I push R3 and pull it to any direction(to move my goalkeeper) controller disconnects and it takes a while to reconnect. So as a workaround I assigned L3 and R3 buttons to P2 and P4 triggers. Since using it that way it never happened again.
