Sounds good. Let me know what happens. Something else to check is your ethernet cable. If it's old, it could have an impact. Make sure you're using a Cat 6 cable.
I've done everything asked and still the same lag/freezing/fast forwarding/disconnection problem when playing hut online mode. Whatever needs to be enabled has been, modem/router changed a few days ago, ethernet cable came with it. No idea if it's cat6. That's about the only thing I'm not sure.
- Socair4 years agoHero+@texas_grind09 How old is your console? It’s possible that’s factoring in or the Ethernet port is compromised. Have you tried playing over wifi at all? Just to test.
I'd say it's about 4-5 years old. I did try over wifi and the result was the same. 8 out of my last 10 games I've been disconnected and lagged/froze a couple of times the other games. I just find it strange that it started all of sudden. Like I said I've been playing online for a while and it's never been this bad. I guess it could be the console itself. Thanks for the help

Hmm. This is on PS4 right? Just to rule out game file issues you should try deleting your user profile (this will be under game saves), this won’t affect your HUT content. And try a database rebuild through safe mode.
Yes it's on ps4. I will try deleting the user profile and database rebuild. I'm guessing there's not much left to try after this.

Have you logged into your router to see if a firmware update is available? Do you happen to have a lot of traffic on your network while you play? Potentially from others or yourself streaming media?
You want to have either Type 1 or Type 2 so you're good there. Since Online Versus uses a peer to peer connection. This means you're not on our servers. Either you or your opponent are hosting the game. If either one of you has a bad connection, both will feel it. If your friend is able to switch to a wired connection, try playing them again to see if there's a difference. Also, how far away are they from you? Distance will make a difference as well.
I've officially tried everything you have told me and it's still the same issue. All is up to date, tried playing at different times, no difference. New modem, cat6 cable, UPnP enabled, deleted user profile, rebuilt database, tried on wifi and LAN. Whether I play HUT vs a friend who's 20km away or HUT vs others I get lag/disconnected nearly every game. I've given up. I'll try and fight thru it for this game since I bought it, but sadly I'll have to stop buying nhl. It sucks because it's the only game I play and never had issues until recently.. Thanks for the replies. Take care

Is this something that has been happening since 22 was released or did it just recently start? Also, can you try playing over a mobile hotspot? This would just be done as a test. I'm curious if you have the same experience when not on your home network. It started a month or so ago. I played over 150 HUT games vs my friend before it started happening. I have no idea what a mobile hotspot is. I'm still trying to figure out why this is happening after years with no issues. I never had to do all this just to hope it works.

You should be able to find out how to enable a mobile hotspot by doing a web search. Can you try that?
