$135!!!! For an heirloom

Look I completely understand that this is a free game and EA needs to make money. But do you ever think that maybe these prices are a little crazy??

Im all for if you want to charge us $60 for an heirloom in these events. Thats about the price of a game. Ill even give you all the way up to $90 just because of all the extra stuff we get just to unlock the heirloom.

But $135!!????? That is absolutely insane to me. At least pretend like you care about your community. This is insane

  • @eyesnore 135 is quite cheap when you count in the fact ive dropped 2 grand for my 5. Most of which was 500 a pop. So I would of loved to of gotten the ones i do got for 135. They are not required to play the game nor are they required to win a game. They are a simple cosmetic that can either be gotten or passed on. Either way it makes no game changing differences. So most are not going to buy for that reason. 135 though? Cheap.
  • @eyesnore I have always thought it likely that they would sell more than twice as much if things were half the price. I know we don't need these things, but they shove them in our faces with events and it's only natural to feel that you are missing out sometimes.

I buy the season passes mainly because I enjoy having objectives to work towards and the game does tend to lose a little appeal for me once I have finished a season off a few weeks before the end. I am still annoyed that EA decided to remove the "free" season passes from the Origin subscription as it is but I don't really mind having to throw £10 their way for this game a couple of times a year but that already means I have paid for this game several times over already.

I have my eye on the re-release of a pretty cool Caustic skin coming next week but I will resent having to buy 2000 coins to get one skin.

The only time I really feel I am missing out is with the Halloween stuff because there are often some really cool skins but I will generally only have one or two rolls of the dice and see what I get with those because its just too much money in my opinion.

And say do you want to make a deal?

Pretty sure that the prices are set based on statistics on the player base buying behavior based on some form of demand curve etc etc.  Also, $135 is what I drop on a normal night out but it was a ton of money when I was 19 and worked in a warehouse for minimum wage. My point is that the price on the most exclusive loot must be "objectively"  high since guys like me would just buy everything if I was into skins (which I am not). It would crash the market totally since the demand is linked to exclusivity of the good.
