3rd partying solutions

Okay so I'd love to hear other ideas in the comments and I'm sure many other people are having the same problem. Almost every engagement I get into lately has been getting 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th partied. I think we have 5 acceptable solutions but we could come up with more if we put our minds together.

A. This is unbearably necessary: Reduce the distance that shots and explosions can be heard from, especially snipers and airstrike ultimates. I don't like that I can tell what guns the people in Bunker are using from swamps while I hear bangalore's ultimate going off in Spotted Lake.

B. This ones a bit far fetched but I think it might work perfectly, along with some substantial volume reduction: Make it so that as soon as a squad gets wiped, any team that did damage to them gets their shields and health instantly restored, but remains knocked down if they were.

C. Downed players can use healing items but remain down so that when they get revived they are at full shield and health. They can't use their knockdown shield while healing and are therefore vulnerable to thirsting.

D. Barrel stabilizers also act as silencers

E. Reduced revive time

  • @E9ine_AC third party threats dont take thinking. all you so is hear shots and run. thats not an in depth well thought out strategy. its basically running to get easy kills. i understand its part of the game, however, when you are balls deep in a firefight and left with 1 health. all it takes is one bullet from a third party and your done. no matter how good your exit strategy is. my frustration comes when my team clears out another then i have no time to heal before a third or fourth squad is right on your *. shield swap is great and maybe i need to get better at that, but its not always feasible when your getting slammed back to back.
  • exactly!!! all my randoms either 1) dont land with me or 2) start rushing teams by themself
  • The problem with third parties is that King's Canyon is a small map and is very poorly designed. There are too many fishbowls, valleys, and restricted spaces that make maneuverability impossible, so you get backed up traffic of teams because there is literally nowhere for teams to go after they get into a fight so they can't filter out. There is no breathing room on the map. I'm sitting in diamond lobbies and when I queue with my PC squadmate, one team magically turns into seven in the blink of an eye. Not sure what it is about PC, but I don't have this problem when I'm in console lobbies.

  • Reducing the distance people from which people can hear shots would help to solve the problem, in my opinion the best solution. 🤔

From the other point of view and in current situation - you can adjust your playstyle too:

    1) Play Crypto(from time to time): You can see a number of squads in 200 meter radius. 🤔

    2) Wait at the rings border until it will close itself - at least you will know, that no one is following you.

    3) If another squad is attacking you, no one is forcing you to stay and fight, you can always run away and let them fight, or simply increase the distance from them.*

3rd partying will always remain a part of the game anyway - to some degree, and it cannot be eliminated completely.

*not that random people will listen to you, they usually prefer to die in combat, unfortunately 🙌

@SugaryJuice Ehhh I prefer kings just because of it being smaller. I get sick of running around trying to find people having to use a trident at times to even find them. The bigger the map the less encounters. I hate looking at squads left and only 3 left while we not heard a single gun shot.

@MrGameNfit If third party fights dont take thinking then how do some of us win third party fights even while in the middle of the current fight? It 100% takes thinking.
  • You try having both your teammates knocked and low health and then running from a 3rd partying octane and pathfinder while you're playing as anyone else. Let me know how that goes. Pffft. Clueless.

  • @Lygerk_p That doesn't help at all. It's really how loud gunshots, explosions and ults are that make it like a "free kill" bell ringing for everyone nearby to hear. Even if the 3rd party is close enough that the sound is fair, there's nothing that's gonna stop them if they time their attack right after the 1st squad gets wiped. I just thought what if they let downed players use healing items while they're down ? That might work perfectly.
