yes, there is, that's the same as saying the game already has 60 frame rate there no reason to make it uncapped...
That's entirely different how many cheaters are advantaged by frames 144 frames ?.
Aim Assist being part of the Native release on PC will allow people to legit bypass certain things on EAC and no doub't tune aim assist to respond just like a bot though the detection of EASY AC does not see that.
There's already enough cheaters allowing another avenue for it and opening a can of worms in a bathtub filled with them while the bald eagle is pecking out your eyes,......

- yes you are right they are entirely different, aim assist doesn't give you the right to cheat if people are able to cheat then they are going to cheat. Either way aim assist will not make a difference if they add it. 90% of fps and even thirdps have aim assist look at fornite one of the most popular games available even has aim assists. Gamers against it are complaining for 2 true reasons.
1. Your worried someone with a controller is going to play better then you even though you should be able to beat them.
2. You have never used it, dont understand it so you defualt into being sceptical about it.
Their's nothing but positive things that can come from adding it. Increase active gamers, more people with the ability to play the game the way they like. So any other point made negatively regarding this topic when all I see is positive outcomes to be made from it, both a community and a business standpoint makes no sense.

This is just what I'd love to see and play the way the ones of us that want to use a controller on PC should be allowed to.
No, The values stored in memory for tracking etc when Aim assist is engaged is the same as an aimbot modifing the value such as reducing the time to lock widening the vector recognition to aim for them etc this will be exploited by those on KB/M and hose on Controller aswell.
This is how the bot was expanded onto PS4 for COD and Xbox such Mod menu things etc.

Aim assist is a nuisance I understand how it works and on terrible ports to PC is sometimes not patched out and you're unable to play a game effectively as it will slow you down, The Walking Dead Survival Instinct worst port to PC used substandard version of Directx Antiquated input methods and extemely unoptimised materials/props this game had it by default.
It makes no sense to have Aim assist on PC just have Cross play servers for those daring enough.
Fortnite has alot stronger aim assist on console then apex does, it also transfers over to controller on pc... with that said i doubt you will see a controller player on pc make the world cup...pc players will always be dominate as shooters even competing agaisnt controller players with aim assist. I know fornite isn't always about shooting there's building mechanics but when the opportunity arises you still have to shoot....i don't see them adding a slight aim assist to pc with controller as a big problem at all... who would you fear more on pc, a player with aim like shroud or a controller player with some aim assist?
