1. Your worried someone with a controller is going to play better then you even though you should be able to beat them.
2. You have never used it, dont understand it so you defualt into being sceptical about it.
Their's nothing but positive things that can come from adding it. Increase active gamers, more people with the ability to play the game the way they like. So any other point made negatively regarding this topic when all I see is positive outcomes to be made from it, both a community and a business standpoint makes no sense.
No, The values stored in memory for tracking etc when Aim assist is engaged is the same as an aimbot modifing the value such as reducing the time to lock widening the vector recognition to aim for them etc this will be exploited by those on KB/M and hose on Controller aswell.
This is how the bot was expanded onto PS4 for COD and Xbox such Mod menu things etc.
Yes console games have bot Joy.....
Aim assist is a nuisance I understand how it works and on terrible ports to PC is sometimes not patched out and you're unable to play a game effectively as it will slow you down, The Walking Dead Survival Instinct worst port to PC used substandard version of Directx Antiquated input methods and extemely unoptimised materials/props this game had it by default.
It makes no sense to have Aim assist on PC just have Cross play servers for those daring enough.

Fortnite has alot stronger aim assist on console then apex does, it also transfers over to controller on pc... with that said i doubt you will see a controller player on pc make the world cup...pc players will always be dominate as shooters even competing agaisnt controller players with aim assist. I know fornite isn't always about shooting there's building mechanics but when the opportunity arises you still have to shoot....i don't see them adding a slight aim assist to pc with controller as a big problem at all... who would you fear more on pc, a player with aim like shroud or a controller player with some aim assist?

Trust me I'm not that great at all with aiming I doubt the aim assist would help me much but a little would be something. I know all to well and agree kb/m is the better way to play. I'm just use to what I'm use to and I'll accept that. People that do this for a living do it well. I've seen streamers that play games and there's no way on earth I'd compete on that level with the top tier. I'd do much better on that sticking to a console like XBox where my son and I seem to do well though admittedly he also does better than I do. No matter which hardware we play together on I know it's just the age gap and how natural it comes to him too.

This is exactly the point I was trying to get across. It's a personal preference thing. Just make controller usage with aim assist. It will make controller players on PC want to play the game more.
- 7 years agoPut cross platform is nice but then the next heading will be. "Why do console players have aim assist on controller and KBM accessability but I can have aim assist natively with my controller on PC"
Just add it in and be done with it. If you're a good player you will beat most of them anyway and controller players know they mostly won't win but will make them enjoy playing the game more. - 7 years ago

I like when someone is wise enough to think of reasons and back things up. This is how good discussion and/or proper debate should occur.
