Add an option to report for homophobia or racism.

Is it possible that we can get an option within the report for harassment category that is "Homophobia or Racism"? After messing up a play in ranked arenas today playing as Seer with the pride banner, I was called the f slur along with being told "I hope you get gang-r*ped". Personally, I did not feel safe or emotionally fine at that moment. While I am not LGBTQ+ myself, I know many others who are. I cannot even imagine the harassment some people go through any day that are LGBTQ+ having to deal with this. Apex Legends has always been an accepting community thanks to the developers who make pride badges, stop Asian hate badges or even the BLM badge. Players should not have to be worrying about being harassed in an environment where they come to have fun. Also if you're homophobic and reading this? Now is your time to leave Apex Legends as there is no place for homophobia here or anywhere.

Also willing to give the names of the players that were involved if needed!

@tybtypical You will never see them in real life and will likely never play with them again. Maybe just report them for harrassment instead of asking for an extra special report option?

@tybtypical How have we gotten to this point in society. Sticks and stones man. Just mute them. Who would ever let a random stanger, whom of which they will never see and or talk to. Put themselves in a state of "fear". Just mute them and report for harassment and move on with life

@tybtypicalHey there welcome to the AHQ! When it comes to these types of reports the feature for it is already in place. This would fall along the lines of hate speech which is taken very serious. As long as you use that for hate speech they will be taken care of. EA has a zero-tolerance policy on these types of behaviors.

@xHACHx Honestly man trust me if it had happened any earlier in the game I would have done just that. This happened last round, I was the last one standing. Also accordingly in that moment I had no clue if the dude was finding my IP address, etc. Did I over react a bit? Yeah. But a threat to be “gang r*ped” no matter how big or small is still a threat in my eyes and should be taken seriously.

@Bolted_Fault I sort of mentioned this in #7 in this thread but honestly it was more precautionary than anything. A threat like that that I was going to get “gang r*ped” is still a threat. Personally I don’t tolerate it.

@tybtypical i can already tell you your IP address is 192.168.1 (maybe 0 or 2). 1-10. This is common local applications, your mac address is the legit identification. But going right to "they are going to find my ip address then hop on plane with a few friends to find me is crazy". The chances of this happening are zero. You certainly would of had a coronary if you were around for the days of MW2 and 3 lobby * talk. Maybe respawn will make a safe space lobby. Sticks and stones.

Just use the "Hate speech" option. It works like a charm. I reported three different people last week for hate speech after they said things like the f-word (that rhymes with maggot) or the r-word that refers to an intellectually challenged individual and only a couple of days later, I got an automatic comfirmation mail from Respawn saying that my report went through. Not that I care one bit personally about this. I personally think Respawn is a bit too sensitive but I just play by the rules that Ive agreed to when choosing to play this game.

@tybtypical I experience the exact same thing today and was surprise to see no « homophobe racism » mention on the signalement list… we need that.
