@WedgeAntilles-XYes aimassist needs a slight nerf .2 might be actually enough to stay relavent. .4 on pc right now is alrdy over the top, lets not even start on the .6 that consoles get. This game has 0 competetive integrity.
No aimassist does not pull to head, it pulls to body

I've got close to 10,000 hrs on this once great game... console player here. Aim assist on Console does not pull to anything. It simply slows down. There is no pulling. It does not snap or anything of the sort.
- 2 years ago@ComicBookGuy2727 The amount of denial some controllerplayers have is almost pure madness…
Rotational aimassts does in fact pull to target… even that strong that it can turn your character…even if you try to somehow not call that pulling, wich you probably will try. Do the following, go with a buddy in fireingrange let him go close to a wall and let him start climbing up meanwhile you stand close behind him and walk left and right while aiming at him, if you shot him shortly before that you will see that aimassist does even pull up after him…
So yes it does pull, the condition is you strafe but it does 😉 I play with controller btw so don’t try to bs me pls- 2 years ago
@BallisticMVP Eh I don't even know anymore. I tested this when people first started complaining about it in season 2 or 3 and nothing happened. Absolutely nothing until I ADS and strafing while ADS had no effect until my crosshairs moved over the target. When on target my crosshairs slightly clung to the target weakly but let go when I strafed away. My character absolutely did not move/turn unless I turned them.
I tested this again a season or two ago and my character clearly shifted directions while strafing side to side. It was still very weak but noticeable and unlike in the first test I didn't even need to ADS to feel it.
At this point I'm not sure if I'm crazy or Respawn tweaks AA randomly without telling anyone.
PC controller AA seemed to cling stronger then too but I don't even know what to believe.

*sigh* Okay, in some cases the aim assist is a bit strong, but usually that's not the problem, (although Respawn is trying to figure out how to balance it). The problem is all the players using strikepacks, xim, etc. on top of the existing aim assist.
When you get rolled by a controller player, their aim is often all over the place and not steady. It may have little recoil, and that's normal, but if you see absolutely zero recoil, that's a strikepack, if they're locking on more, looting while in a deathbox, or doing something only a PC player can do, that's xim, (which is something that enables M&K on a console which isn't possible otherwise).
As I've stated before in other threads, I've played the game on an Xbox and I've used a controller on PC to see what the issue was about. I can feel the difference between the PC and console aim assist values, (PC is 40%, console is 60% if I recall correctly, with 100% being aimbot). In my opinion, the aim assist is good, but its not so good that you can 1v1 a pro, (even an ALGs one at that), and always win no matter what.
What most of us are experiencing are players abusing the aim assist by using other means. Players who run such gimmicks gives console players a bad reputation. It be great if other players could stop lumping legit console players in with the ones abusing a strikepack, xim, etc., and wait for Respawn to balance the current aim assist as need be.
