@radkal_0I play with controller on pc and can verify there is no aim assist on pc unless it was added in one of the more recent patches
I think it should be added to PC since the games are cross platform why should I have to play against console players with aim assist and PC players with superior aim with mouse/keyboard just because I prefer to play with a controller
you can’t blame aim botting and wall hacks and everything else on aim assist for controllers people are going to hack no matter what if they are banned they wlll just make a smurf even if there is aim assist as the video claims players will still hack regardless so why remove it if everyones going to hack anyways your just hurting legit players who use controller like myself and not the hackers themselves and wont the guy in the video just get banned for using the module in the video?
Your reply makes no sense. I wonder in what cave you've been living these last (10?) months. But aim assist has always been in apex for controllers and if I understand correctly you can not disable it (do you even play that game xD).
I don't know where you got that idea that I blame everything on aim assist. Please try not to put words in other peoples mouths.
AA is an other way for dishonest M&K gamers to take advantage without getting detected. Disabling it will remove the problem, witch will give Respawn more time to deal with bots.
As you said, there is a huge cheating problem already so why give tools incorporated in-game? I am all for controller AA if they can detect that its actually a controller connected and not a mouse.
How many PC gamers play Apex with controller? 0,5% ? I have no idea but that idea seems very stupid, even with AA enabled. Just my opinion.

i@radkal_0If there is aim assist for controllers it needs to stay that way
People are going to hack regardless so no point in making it harder for players like myself who genuinely use controller on pc just because some pathetic loser is abusing it for aim assist with mouse/keyboardi think EA needs to start doing hardware Banns not IP or ACC because its so easy to use a VPN or just make a new account and keep doing it... if you bann there console or pc it gets more expensive to replace
SideNote: i just changed my sensitvity settings about 2 weeks ago and I just so happened to put my look sensitivity on a 6 and most of my optics on a 4 but the 2x on a 5 so It kinda explains why Ive been doing slightly better if aim assist is truely present on a 6 as the video claims I just assummed it was because I had faster movement horizontally so I could actually track running players easier compared to the 4 I used to use

The problem is that its much easier and relatively risk free to use AA with mouse than buy a hack and risk getting banned. XIM module usage is all over cheat websites.
Respawn does permanent hardware bans. But lots of tutorials on how to bypass them without buying new components.
I bet there are more AA mouse users than controller users in apex PC. - 6 years ago
If you like to play with controller, play on Console. Stop polluting PC players. Have Apex developers have lost their brains?!? Why are they creating unfair gaming environments. PC gamers spend a lot of money on this game. And soon they'll start leaving this game for their stupidity. Just let a better game come, we'll make apex pay for their stupidity.
TSM_ImperialHal when used Controller, destroyed daltoosh. Can daltoosh destroy Hal with a mouse? No way, cause it takes a certain amount of positioning from the monitor, muscle memory, even the mouse grip. But what it takes on Controller? It takes having a coffe, and no sense of positioning, you can be on your sofa, shake with left hand, kill the enemy with the right one.
F Apex.
- 6 years ago@radkal_0 as i remember, if you select input = linear, then it is pure input without any software correction(aim assist)

@djentymanIm just gonna say its inconclusive I don’t really notice any AA while using K+M but Im not using any xim whatevers and have no idea what they even are tbh just trying to recreate the video but I may be changing the wrong setting I think @pastaclown was right tbh but im done with this topic im just gonna end it with i dont notice any difference while changing my look sensitivity

@djentymanIm just gonna say its inconclusive I don’t really notice any AA while using K+MAgain, for those who did not understand. There is no AA with K&M. AA is enabled only with a controller plugged in.
With a XIM module, you can trick the game to think you are playing with a controller while you are actually playing with M&K, enabling AA.
I never said AA was activated with K&M without a XIM, or an emulator. Actually nobody did.
I mean on wednesday I will test it out for myself in training mode to try and recreate the video with my controller@FaIIenAngeI777 You were supposed to test it with a controller.
- E9ine_AC6 years agoHero+@radkal_0 Sadly it wont fix it. Aim assist is nothing compared to mouse and keyboard recoil script / macros
- 6 years ago
Aim assist provides:
- Extremely powerful tracking
- Reduced/removed recoil
- Tracking through smoke
- In some instances of using it, tracking through walls.
There's no argument that can be made that Aim assist doesn't help.
In response to the comment above mine, we should strive to fix things, not give up because there's more than one issue.

It's crazy to think some controller players played over 700 hours and never realized there's aim assist, my god.
Remove controller AA from PC completely, here's why (in addition to 69PooPickle's points) :
Aim Assist is made to compensate for lag input from controller, and screen delay, and low FPS (console is a just a bad PC after all).
There's no such a thing on PC - no delay in display and no low FPS, and you can overclock controller and boost polling rate to minimize input lag a LOT.
The advantage of controller AA designed for consoles on PC is even worse than most ppl realize.
No amount of reduced mobility can compensate for that kind of aim advantage, algorythms designed to perform under very subpar conditions (only true for close to mid range - at long range controller players are boned, who plays long range in this game though ?).
Just my two cents, honestly hit reg problems and network in this game are so bad I even forget about controller players.
