Anyone else confused about how the SBMM works?

Hey, I've recently not been having fun in Apex Legends due to their Matchmaking system! I only have around just above 600 kills, I play purely for fun and I get matched with probably some of the best...

    I read the white paper on SBMM. It states clearly that the benefits for revenues was marginal for all the sophisticated work that goes into it, that I decided it wouldn't make senses to use anything other than a straight up Halo 3 skill range 1-50 simple team match algorithm that you could write in one hour.

    I don't know why people are having so much trouble with SBMM or rEAspawn's flavor of it. It shouldn't be all that bad compared to others. However, I have no idea what they are doing TBH.

      @MrGreenWithAGunThe game is infested with cheaters and smurfs, and the player base is dropping, too. I always thought that MM should be able to work better when there are more players online but at the beginning over every season it is the same if not worse. Whatever they are doing, it doesn't work. Anybody that solo queues will tell you how freaking broken the MM in Apex is. It is honestly neglect at this point.
