Me too, same problem with Anti-Cheat. It would be great if the game support Linux.
I am using PoP!_OS 18.04 the most games running very nice through Lutris but Apex doesn't

The game does not work due to Easy Anti Cheat. Please let know Electronic Arts that you are interested in playing on Linux. Electronic Arts has the resources to support Linux easily, the more people ask for support, the more it is likely to have a native version.

I don't know what Easy Anti-Cheat does certainly not stopping hackers even after reporting them.
EAC=EpicGames
EA fans has been asked for Linux support for decades (yes more than 10 years), but it choice to give a BIG NO to Linux. 64 bits games most are not supported.
Easy Anti Cheat just does not save the server from hackers. Clearly is just a hurdle to block people from Linux to use Apex Legends.
Linux is a PC platform, Linux can run much better than Windows, stop ignoring your fans, EA!
The real issue with EAC is that Epic Games bought out EAC and so now they maintain it, mainly in favor of stopping hackers from playing Fortnite, now that that game has taken off. They said they were going to no longer focus on support for linux, despite (as far as im aware) their own game, Fortnite, which uses EAC being on linux. This hurts a lot of developers (Freejam, EA, etc.) that use EAC for any of their currently standing multiplayer games. Robocraft being a decent example, which was already hurt by lots of poor feedback from fans after some changes made starting 2016.
Also, for those wanting Apex to be released on Macintosh -- Macs can't run games. They already struggle playing low end games like MC and Fortnite. Playing demanding games like Apex, Warframe, CSGO, and others would be practically impossible without serious problems. Macintosh systems are just overpriced college notebooks/desktops designed to look sexy to gullible people who think that price is everything in a computer's performance. Serious PC gamers would be misinformed if they thought buying a Mac was a good option. For gamers, Mac holds the least marketshare, unfortunately, due to Apple's poor business practices, selling obsolete office PCs for the price of a gaming PC that would lasts years to come.
