Apex Legends 'Infinite' Battle Pass

I recently read an article explaining how Halo Infinite has a Battle Pass (BP) system that is unique to other FPS Battle Royale games. Their BP system is unique because it doesn’t expire from season to season, meaning that you could still grind for Season 7 BP rewards while playing Season 8 for example. Or even Season 3 BP rewards while playing Season 9 if you wish.

I only started playing Apex in Season 4 and because I was completely new to the game (and new to Battle Royale games in general), I had no idea what a BP was and thus didn’t even buy it. Even if I did buy it, I was so terrible at the game that I only made it to level 43 on the BP anyway. However, Apex has since become my favourite game ever and I really wish I could go back and get the Season 4 Flatline reactive skin for example. Or even the Season 1, level 15 Wraith skin. I also have a friend who only started playing in Season 6 for the same reasons I only started in season 4. Since then Apex has also become his favourite game and the Wingman has become his favourite gun. He also really wishes he could go back and get the Season 5 reactive Wingman skin and he sometimes even asks me to pick up and drop the Wingman for him just so he can use it for the game 😂

Implementing this would be a win-win for both Respawn and the players because gaining access to a specific season’s BP would, of course, not be free and it would engage the players by encouraging more game time for those who want to grind. Furthermore, some people within the community really love the game but don’t have the time to consistently grind the BPs for various reasons and thus miss out on rewards they would really like even though they play as consistently as they can. This would help solve that problem.

I know some people might feel this isn’t a great idea to bring to Apex because they enjoy the fact that they are perhaps one of the few who have certain BP rewards from Season 2 or whatever. But if that is the only reason why this idea shouldn’t be implemented, I think the pros heavily outweigh the one con.

I really hope the Devs see this because I don’t see what they have to lose by making this happen.

  • @NkoskolosisI ended up not getting the season 1 battlepass because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the game or not and didn’t really spend money on games back then but in Season 2 I broke that personal and barrier and have bought a few things since then, I wouldn’t mind buying the season 1 battlepass but some things would be useless for players who didn’t play back then for example season specific trackers for kills and wins

  • I would love for this to be implemented. I have so many friends who joined the game slightly later and want some of the older skins / cosmetics!

@TheApexLegendNub I hear you but unless things were different back then, the BP doesn't usually include season-specific trackers. Those are usually free so they shouldn't be a factor 🙂
  • I was just about to post this. Is there any way that EA could make it possible once we finish the current battle pass, I can pay the 1000 coins and pick an old battle pass and start making progress on that one. I have a bunch of old content on Xbox but lost it when I went to PC.

Personally think that any battle pass that you own, you should be able to go back and finish it. I haven't finished season 1's, as I got to level 96 and couldn't no life the game enough with the rough requirements they had to level it up.

Any pass you don't own, they should allow normal crafting, legend tokens, or something to obtain it, with the Apex coins removed from the pass. (I say that so people don't have to rebuy passes or buy them in the first place when those rewards are long over, while having the coins gone to avoid people just stocking up free coins which would cause EA/Respawn to not want to make it easy for us to finish past passes.
