Apex Legends isn't a BR

Apex is such a mess of third partying and audio levels that enforce this (can hear gunshot across the map) so that it's not a BR anymore. Its an arena shooter like Halo. Apex is designed more in the direction of an arena shooter than BR. This is conflicting on the game design and how player expect the game to play out with the map size, dropship respawn cycle and looting system. The result is frustration. You don't expect gunshot to be heard across the map. The speed (time) at which fights play out compared to the time it takes to loot and cross the map (mapsize) are conflicting aspects of the game. You spend so much time looting and traveling and the gunfights are over in seconds. This feels like you're not playing the game most of the time and this comes back how the game has conflicting designs. The aspect of BR is not there anymore so the result is developers not knowing what they design anymore. You might as well turn off the dropship and have timed respawns like Halo. At least then you know what you're playing.

  • @IngeniekeyI feel like the game is a mess, legends too strong or too weak... legends like bloodhound getting constant wall hacks or lifeline spamming auto revive and then crappy legends like wattson who get a fence node every 30 seconds when you need TWO just to create a single fence... the only ones who feel perfectly balanced are bangalore and mirage, the guns all feel out of whack because most are too strong, the maps feel ok overall but third parties are constant and the audio sucks compared to what it was before season 7 

    I just havn’t really been enjoying apex lately, Rogue Company has been what I’ve been playing the most over the last 2 weeks and overall everything feels more balanced and I’ve been having fun working on their battle pass

    (its been 10 days and I’m already halfway done with the battlepass lol thats how much Ive been playing) I don’t plan on playing apex for awhile except to get the free Wattson Skin for the event this week (im assuming its on the 24th-25th)

    to be honest DanielZKline is killing apex legends, they need to do something about it before its too late.. all he does is look at pick rate/win rate and other useless statistics that don’t prove a damn thing... if the developers actually played this game the solutions to balancing changes would be obvious but instead Caustic’s winrate went down by 0.1% ‘’he is good’’ when Caustic’s practically extinct right now I see 1 in like 20 games... which is good compared to 20 in every game but Caustic and Wattson are not able to be defensive legends anymore its physically impossible with randoms 

    note: I don’t main Caustic and rarely even play Causic so I’m not Bias just using him as an example... DanielZKline said he played 3 games on Caustic then proceeded to buff him to god tier and then he says to ‘’play wattson for free wins’’  does he realize how hard it is to get a win on Wattson... I have 1100 kills and only 40  wins while Gibralter has 56 wins and only 600 kills... if I played Gibralter as much as I played Wattson he would have 100+ wins at 1200 kills... Literally every legend I play has more wins than wattson when wattson is the one I play the most... how odd is that?!? If she is supposably good why do I have less wins on her then I do on Gibralter,Octane, Mirage, Wraith, Pathfinder, Caustic, Bangalore, etc the only ones who don’t have more wins  than her are the ones I rarely use... if he means encounter win rate than I agree because of her hitbox/animations but actual #1 squad win rate nah he’s full of it and needs to quit basing everything off of useless statistics 

  • @IngeniekeyThe game pace should be drastically slowed down. Either slow down the character's movement speed or significantly expand the map or both. Slower movement speed will significantly improve the hit registration on EA's 20-tick servers.

    Recoil patterns should be more random and stronger while the damage should be much higher, which encourages tapping not empty the entire mag within one second. That would severely increase TTK while still make gun play satisfying.

    The map terrains should be more real like. Their are no terrains in real life that have steep hills to divide terrains into grids that have drastic elevation changes. Too many high grounds is another reason why battles end so quickly.

    Fast movement should only be made by vehicles. Thus grenade launchers, rocket launchers and landmine can also be introduced into the game, making battles more interesting.

    These changes will literally make Apex another game. But it’s my dream BR game.
