Apex Legends needs a disclaimer for mental health issues

Dear Electronical Sports

I've been playing ranked Apex Legends now for 8 hours and I want my time back.

My friend is a Bloodhound main and I play whatever I feel like playing but today was different from every other day. We played for 8 hours and we died over and over again. I do not think this game is fully mentally functional and this is something you should look into. Third party is not even a thing anymore, I would like to call it five party and every single game I die because of 5 teams rolling up on me and I am sick and tired of it. Please give me RP and give me my time back. All of my technical stuff in my room is broken and this is not good. I can barely play the game on my half keyboard and on my cracked monitor. All I am asking is for EA to make the game better and stopping me from bouncing off ziplines and dying in stupid ways like that.

  • @LilPutte If you cannot reframe from breaking your things due to dying over and over in a game, you shouldn't be playing the game causing you to get mad enough to break things.

It's legit no one's fault but yours, if you flip out and break a keyboard or something.

  • @LilPutte Partly agree because it gets so frustrating when you take the game too seriously and it really gets to you sometimes continuously losing over and over no matter what you do, I just started playing other games tbh I will get online long enough to do 1-2 games and log right back off but its not totally an apex thing because Ive just been jumping from game to game it seems like nothings fun anymore

  • @LilPutte You realize that every game only two outcomes are possible right? Outcome #1 - You win, and live. Outcome #2 - You lose, and die.

These are simple truths that one must come to terms with before engaging in such games.

Destroying property in ones home over losing in a game hints to a greater issue. I suggest a positive outlet for this rage, which can focus it into something good. You get mad....bang out some push-ups, squat-thrusts, sit-ups, curls, dips till your muscles burn. Then sit back down and prep for another game, I can almost guarantee you'll feel better and destroy less property.
  • @LilPutteHi

Please take a step back and think about if destroying your property out of frustration in a computer game is normal or desirable behavior. this happens if you put so many hours into computer games, more so if it is one specific game. If you don't find fun in it anymore take a break from it. don't play it, don't watch videos or streamers about it. instead, do stuff outside. this is the best method to restore your mental health. start rock climbing or just walking. I can relate. if you come back to apex then you will find having fun again and you will also play better. and then you might wanna cut down the hours or you will burn out again quickly.

and let me be clear. if you continue this behavior you currently have it will manifest into a really * personality. save yourself and the people surrounding you from this happening. go outside

  • @LilPutte Since everyone is telling you about the breaking stuff I'm gonna talk to you a little bit about ranked.

Don't just use whoever you feel like, use characters that your comfortable with and know you can have success with cause it kinda sounds like your screwing over your 3rd by not playing your best. Also 8 hours is a long session to be playing I rarely play more than 4 hours at a time unless I'm on a roll, on weekends I'll play a couple of sessions but that's it. Sometimes you need a little reset especially when losing. This will probably help with your anger issues too. If you played for 8 hours and you keep getting 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th parties you should be thinking about that whenever you engage in a fight it is seriously just part of the game. Especially places around labs that is in the middle of the map, is super open and has multiple converging points where ppl will hear and see you. Don't blame the game for your mistakes especially personal ones. We all get made and frustrated with the game and some of us do break crap, I have screwed up one set of headphones and pissed off my wife too many times yelling at the game. The money I spent replacing the headset was enough to keep me from doing that again, I still yell and * off my wife but its pretty rare now. I hope you have learned some valuable lessons from this experience, even if it's that maybe you should not play this game.
