In fact it's more grinding and forcing players to change thier play style by having to do the challanges in order to receive BP lvls instead of like season one where you earned a lvl with XP in match...i have yet to rrcieve a BP lvl for just playing and earning XP that way
This can’t be true. You only need 9000 survival xp to gain your first level, and that’s without completing a single challenge. It breaks down like this.
9000 xp 1st level
18000. 2nd
24000. 3rd
36k. 4th
45k. 5th
54k. 6th
This is per week, which resets every Tuesday morning. Once you get to the 54k xp level, you’ll have to get 54k to make each new level, until the next Tuesday. When it all resets.
This is the model for xp advancement without any challenges. You also get bonus xp for placing in the top 5. There are huge bonuses to this top 5 bonus as you progress in the BP. They can get up to, and are capped off at, a 300% xp bonus while playing in a premade squad. This is similar to season 1. The bonuses are way higher now, but you have to place in the top 5.
Here’s what else will happen. You’ll be completing some of the weeklies without even trying. Just standard gameplay and you’ll be getting some free levels. Check them out. Some are as easy as play a single match with a certain legend and you get a level. Some are as easy as open a certain number of supply crates.
The new new challenge system is superior overall. It encourages players to step out of their comfort zone, and rewards them for doing so. If any player doesn’t want to expand their game competence, and remain playing a singular way, they will still be able do so. This will be more of a grind however, which was the fault in season 1’s design.
The daily challenges are just for 24 hours, but the weeklies, despite being called a Weekly Challenge, never go away, and your going to find your self completing more and more of them with your standard play style preference, as time goes by, anyway.
Hope this helps.
Step out of the box. Even if it’s just one toe at a time.
