Yupp, the stutters are terrible right now. Even if its just semantic, I doubt that its due to bad "server performance" per se but rather the lag compensation that works very badly, perhaps due to high ping players or perhaps just because of bad optimization. Lag compensation is ofc everything that involves how the game take 60 players slightly (more or less since some play with 200 ping) "different" realities, locally at each players client, and merges these to one "definite" reality.I even have video proof of me getting stutters/micro lag when a certain enemy is LOOKING at me, not shooting, not hitting me, but just LOOKING at me. I was running away through a building, getting chased by an enemy. I ran past the exit and closed the door while I slid out. No lag... but after a couple of sec I heard the door opening behind me so obviously, the enemy had reached the door and opened it and had now full line of sight.. Guess what? Suddenly the game felt like I was running through mud =(
Whats strange is that Ive noticed that I dont get more lag if I have slightly higher ping. Its rather the opposite. If I get sorted into a lobby on the high side of what I get, like 60-80 ms, I usually think the game runs smoother. But if I get sorted into a low ping lobby, like 18-25 ms, then I very often have terrible stutters and micro lag
- @Balladalidila Your suggestion is very detailed, I don't know if its the same for me. Also it wasn't the case before.
I get those stutters throughout the match. They are really short, less than a second, but always when I encounter enemy for initial fire and often it's enough to miss and receive heavy damage :/
