Apex Xbox (OG) Rubber Banding

Anyone else "rubber banding" on the Xbox (OG) console? Like not saying it's random, i'm saying it's every game every 20 seconds or so. Something needs to be fix.

It is off as it says "NOTE:  If your download speed is greater than 70 Mbps, Intellistream QoS will only improve your uploading experience." On Belkin routers it's called Intellistream if anyone else can't find it.

So here it my current update on this networking issue. I don't lag out anymore just random. What did i do? Alot lol.

First I moved Apex Legends from the consoles 5400 RPM HDD to a Samsung Evo 128Gb thumbdrive (yes, a thumb drive) on the Xbox One.

Second. I made the Xbox have an static IP, than moved that to a DMZ. Now i hope I did that right, as I'm not sure if it just placed everything on the network in the DMZ (i'm still learning lol).

I also changed the DNS of the console to Googles 8 8 8 8 8 8 4 4, but not sure what effect that did.

So the game runs okay like this, no rubber banding I can see. I also download now at around 160 - 190 Mbps even with all the computers connected. So in case someone was having any types of these issues, you might find a fix in doing one of these.

Thanks again for the help on this issue. I'm all good atm now 🙂

I haven't tried testing the ports yet, as I think it's an issue with the router, and not just ports. I think the router is just bad. See, on the Xbox One I noticed that my download speeds were only 60 mbps, but my PC downloads at 21 MB/s. So was sitting there about to open ports, but then thought to change the cables from PC to the Xbox again (all wired, no wireless). The second I change the cables from my PC to my Xbox, 190 mbps.

It lasted at those speeds only if i didn't re-connect the old cable to my PC and/ or another device. It seems the router will bottleneck the speeds no matter the cable used to the Xbox, if it notices something else on the network wanting to connect.

I think i might need a new router, My router is an Belkin AC1200 Dual-Band Gigabit Router.

Also i'm testing by putting the xbox with an staic IP and putting that in a DMZ. First testing comes to 80 to 166 Mbps

Thanks for the update. It's certainly possible this is hardware related. It also would be a good idea to try DMZ'ing your console as you mentioned. It looks like your router supports QoS (Quality of Service). Is it enabled?

Thanks for those details. Pretty crazy moving to a thumb drive seems to be helping. If you have any other issues, please let us know. Good luck and have fun!

Okay I learned something. I moved the game from that flashdrive, and it started to make me run fast and slow. So it seems before I had too issues. One being my internal hdd was starting to go bad and 2 my ethernet cable was bad.
