Are there any plans to make skill based matchmaking a thing?

I'd like to know if there will ever be skill based matchmaking in apex legends ? If i didn't have to solo queue against 3x double preds/ masters that would be great! I would even enjoy NOT getting ...

The game is just not fun for the average player. Going up against Predators and Masters all the time just sucks. No wonder players are leaving the game. Used to be a fun game but without a real skill based system it sucks.
