@Papacastoro when you don't want to be heard before attacking you walk towards them, when you do want to be heard you run towards them. Audio is perfect no problem there.
- @Palette24carats Exactly, the only time I have audio issues is when there are multiple floors and I cannot tell if they are above/below me
- @TheApexLegendNub You're on console right? On my Switch, audio is perfectly fine, on PC - its absolutely terrible.
we are probably playing a different game as I face people, and sometimes full teams running making no sounds. And not only me, my mates, and random players I play with. Everyone is complaining about it, even streamers sometimes. But yeah, the audio is perfect.
just saying....Shiv is on streaming now and he just had a Crypto drone next to him with no sound. But yeah. Audio is perfect @Palette24carats
- @Papacastoro the other way you don't hear their footsteps or the drone is if there is other loud sound around... like a gunfight, or something else. For the drone if there is a gun fight you don't hear it because of the sound of bullets but you have a clear visual tag on your screen saying " DRONE DETECTED"
- @Papacastoro Clicking the bridges rising on worlds edge made no noise for me when I did it in s11. Other people's activations did, but not mine. Audio is perfect though, don't complain /s

- @Palette24carats Hah, no. Speaking with teammates, there's constant issues where we're both the same distance from an opponent, and only one of us can hear them moving. Also, I often can't hear my teammates' nearby gunfire.
I use Razer products (I know, I'm insane), and I just turned on "THX Spatial Audio", and suddenly I can hear everything I'm suppose to. I could hear people get close, I could hear 5 different teams fighting all around me, and exactly which direction they were in. Yet again, I shouldn't have to use this feature, or other 3rd party applications, to even be able to play the game.
What's also kinda funny is that people think Respawn keeps adding wall hacking legends, because no one knows how to fix the audio. I suggest finding someone who does. Audio is C-R-U-C-I-A-L to Apex.
Edited: Testing different settings for THX, and I can hear the audio get better, and then the game just goes back to being bad. So, I'm assuming Apex doesn't like it when you try to actually hear the game.- @nebwise Exactly... one of them hears it ... because he has a good headset or his volume is loud enough. With FPS games you need one of the two to hear well footsteps from far they sell all kind of products for that from audio mixer, audio amplifier to clear sounding headsets and 3d audio headsets. If you play on speakers forget it you won't be able to hear footsteps from far from all the other sounds. So many reasons that players don't hear footsteps... and it's not because of bad programming.
