Did you run this on a wireless connection? It looks that way. Since you play wired, you should run the test on a PC that is wired to the same network you play on.

The connection to your router is a little suspicious for a wired connection. You should have a worst ping in the single digits. The node in your neighborhood is the 2nd hop and it shouldn't be that high. It's not high enough to cause lag or disconnects. That comes with the 7th hop. Where are you located? The test server you pinged is in the US so if you're in another country, it could be due to the distance between you and the server. However, your router and local node are both showing issues.
- 4 years ago@EA_Aljo The servers are so bad it's pretty much a running joke on reddit and everywhere else. Although I'm sure the attempt to help is sincere, and there may be a problem with this guys connection to his router, it is probably worth acknowledging that the servers are known to be pretty bad.
It pretty much borders on gaslighting for anyone that doesn't have local router issues, because it (the lack of acknowledgement) comes across as an implicit denial that there's any problem on EAs end, and doesn't acknowledge the people getting their games ruined from EAs unwillingness to invest in their servers because of its lack of profitability. - Apyhs4 years agoNew Veteran@EA_Aljo My location is Germany. Is there an ea server for europe , too ?
Have checked several things now, like router settings etc. Also resetted my router to factory settings.
I have only an IPv6. Ive read that this could cause problems. But i have no option to get an IPv4 address. So i can not port forwarding to maybe bypass such problems.
But to be honest. I still dont get how this only accours 1 to 6 weeks after a contentpatch and then it suddenly dissapears, while no other games have any latency problems. - EA_Aljo4 years ago

I'm still seeing some high ping times starting with the 2nd hop. I think this is resulting in the higher pings that can cause disconnects/lag further down the list. Have you tried using alternate DNS settings? Those instructions are here. Let me know what happens. Thanks!
- Midnight97464 years agoHero+@EA_Aljo From what people have explained about the servers is that say you're connected to server #1, you look for a match on server #1, it finds a match, but its on server #2, and it sends you to that server.
This causes an issue, you were on server #1, but you are forced to connect to a further server.
This to me, makes sense as the ping could say "50", and I start a match and it then says "103", then the next match would say "87", and so on. - 4 years ago
@Midnight9746They don’t really care about how close or how far away you are from the server, all they seem to care about is getting you faster queue times so you don’t give up waiting and log off
Personally I would rather wait for a closer server and/or a server with players that are closer to my skill level instead of faster queue times with practically anyone from level 1 to masters rank where it feels like SBMM has been turned off and the server is too laggy to even play on - 4 years ago

Sadly, it seems like staff such as @EA_Aljo won't even acknowledge the servers have issues. If the CM's are gaslighting users to avoid acknowledging the problem, the odds of a fix or change are probably very low (I tried to suggest they acknowledge the issue, giving them the benefit of the doubt - and was summarily ignored - so draw your own conclusions).
