Balanced Pathfinder Grapple Fix:

With the latest update, PF has once again been nerfed albeit kinda indirectly. I don't know why it is that Respawn don't want people to play PF anymore, especially after releasing the PF edition of the game recently, but here's a nice fix that doesn't affect combat whatsoever but makes PF quality of life much much better:

When out of combat (more than 1min since last damage taken) -> PF's grapple is back to 15 seconds.

When hit, grapple has a 35 second cool-down until out of combat for 1 minute.

Hopefully someone sees this and decides enough PF abuse is enough.

Thanks

  • @andiirawr Eh, that would be kind of a big buff.
Pathfinder does feel a lot weaker, but his pick rate is still pretty high, and people are doing well with him. Unfortunately, it would seem like the nerf was fair.
  • I have an idea for a buff: why not give him 2 grapples at 15 second rest for each, like Bangalore's smoke? Because I'm a path main and honestly they SCREWED him over with this update, it's awful playing now, especially in world's edge (which sucks after it's first season anyway).

  • @samdawg1018 2 grapples 15 seconds each is basically what it was before they nerfs, i feel like pathfinder is pretty balanced but I do agree 35 seconds is alittle too long sometimes I feel like a happy medium between 15 and 35 would be a 25 second cooldown but maybe reducing it to 30 seconds would be enough so you can get 2 grapples per minute

@FaIIenAngeI777 I Use To Main Pathfinder Like literally only character i use n now i don't use him at ALL like literally i think the most fair Would be a 20 Second Cooldown so wen you het gold helm it goes to around 15-18 sec i jus don't think its right how i use to literally only use pathfinder to not using him at all you what i mean? If They wanna balance it out better make his Ultimate A longer time n reduce his grapple to 20sec
  • I don't agree that would be any kind of buff. When in combat (which was the reason Respawn thought PF was overpowered) he would be exactly the same as he is now, 35 seconds.

The quality of life improvement and the joy of moving around when out of combat would be the only thing affected, positively.

Basicaly most pathfinders are mad because they can't use their grapple to get to loot faster then their teammates as often anymore.

While grapple is still one of the best Q's in the game when its off CD ofcourse :D
