Black bars please help :(

Hey I need help, I really love apex and wanna grind it heaps its just such a fun game but I die so much because of a issue. I have a 1280x1024 native resolution monitor because i cant afford a bigger one. I suffer from having black bars and it really effects my gameplay. I just cant see enemys from mid-range or long range. Its near impossible. Then they see me and laser me. Also close range when im scoping with a sight and fighting when i shoot I can barely see the player so I usually lose those fights. Main issue I just cant see because of my black bars. I cant switch to a 16:9 ratio or my montior turns black and wont go back on. If I could get a fix for this or even a apex update to help others with this issue it will mean heaps, thank you for your time. -Zorie

    @zorie_is_betterIf you go to video settings on apex can you toggle display mode to full screen? Sometimes Borderless Windows works better, you may need to mess with these settings and the monitors ratio a bit to get it looking right, for me on full screen the game looks like trash and is super bright because the gammas out of whack so I just use Borderless Window and it looks great

    theres a videoconfig file to at users/user/savedgames/respawn/apex/local but honestly I don’t know what most of it does so I don’t recommend changing things unless you know what you are doing, i tried using this to fix my gamma settings but it was either way too dark or bright and I could never find a sweet spot, if you do try this solution i recommend to copy/paste it to a wordpad document or write the numbers on a note/screenshot and saving the info somewhere in case you mess something up
