Amazing post that also describes my feelings towards Arenas mode. I was a veteran Warzone 1 player but only played Plunder with high kd. Once they moved on to new map I decided to find a new game where I can feel same as if i am a part of a team but without unnecessary tension of BR modes. To have fun and to feel accomplishment at the same time. So Arenas filled that expectation perfectly. Thats when I changed my main competitive shooter game to Apex (it is difficult to change after playing so long). I never see Arenas as a prep place to BR. Instead considered it as a perfect standalone experience where people who doesnt prefer BR mode would come and play. I met several good people there. The only problem was the ranking system where you get get very low points after reaching Platinum 1 while some other guy with same circumstance may get higher points. I reached Diamond but due to this problem I never reach my full potential rank. But this created a goal for me and another reason to play Apex. One other important thing is I learned the game in a very short time and I became a good player even when I play BR time to time I was playing good. Thats just because Arenas mode and the nature of that mode. It was teaching you to get better because you have limited map space, you have to engage enemy, you have to move, you have to be a team player and more importantly you have to play tactical/smart to win. Now new TDM mode is just a practice mode nothing more. Even worse Mixtape is silly. Gun run or Control modes are inferior modes, even though TDM is far worse than Arenas I still preferred it over BR but now due to Mixtape I have to wait a lot to select TDM snd play 1 or 2 games just to wait couple of minutes to play again. So basically what Apex telling me is I have to play BR all the time if i want to play Apex. I love Apex and I strongly believe it is best shooter game now but I start to lose interest. I strongly agree with the creator of this post and I want Arenas to return back and please remove rotation betwee. TDM, gun run and control. Just keep TDM as a fixed mode or bring Arenas back (that would be the best alternative)
@quickqua I agree with you! I hate the Mixtape playlist because none of it compares to Arenas, but Team Death Match is the only mode that I somewhat "like." It's no where near as intricate or unique as Arenas, but if Arenas never returns, then I'd rather they make Team Death Match its own mode. In this way I wouldn't have to wait 30+ minutes by skipping Control and Gun Run just to play Team Death Match. But still, I just wish Arenas returned.
