@BigMacAttack8u I'm glad I'm not alone! Any time I played Arenas I felt like I was in an ESports competition! That's how intense the gameplay was for me, and I'm glad you felt the same way!
i once was playing arenas with a friend and it was the second round when the third player disconnected and it was just me and my friend and it went back and forth of us winning then them winning and as it was getting closer to the end of the match and we where two points behind about to loose we won the next two rounds winning a 2v3 and that was the complete peak gaming moment for my entire life
- 2 years ago@genrlapex I LOVED those moments!
One that comes to mind for me was when it was myself ( Lifeline ) and a Wraith player, versus a pro Horizon player, a Bloodhound and another player ( I forgot their legend ).
But essentially, the other team's Horizon was carrying their team. I could tell by the movements of her teammates that they were new to Arenas, being too afraid to push and following Horizon everywhere. Horizon posed as a huge problem, especially due to her skill with the bow, but I realized that if we took her down the other 2 would be easy for us to defeat.
Throughout the match I realized that my teammate Wraith kept equipping the weapons Horizon used in the previous round. So if Horizon used, let's say, a bow in Round 1 and we lost, Wraith would equip a bow in Round 2. Wraith and I were already losing, especially when we took on Horizon together, but Wraith felt like the only way to defeat Horizon was to beat her at her own game by using the same weapons she was using; Wraith and I weren't communicating via mic, but I was able to figure out her uneasiness through her ACTIONS alone.
SOMEHOW, despite Horizon being so good and her teammates essentially providing suppressive fire, Wraith and I were able to beat them into a Sudden Death round.
Right before the final round began, I texted Wraith via the in-game chat feature, and told her to stop copying Horizon's weapons. I said something along the lines of, "Use what YOU'RE good at, not what Horizon is good at."
Final Round starts. Wraith and I took down both of Horizon's teammates easily. Horizon was all alone, but again she was a pro, E-sports level of skill. Dodging her arrows was tough. Both Wraith and I were on our last bit of health.
All of a sudden, I get knocked down. Wraith was left alone with Horizon.
And she won!
Wraith took my advice. She stopped copying Horizon's tactics and weapons, and started focusing on what worked for her. And at the last second, that's how she was able to beat Horizon!
Man, I miss Arenas so much!- 2 years ago
Hopefully this mode will return

Arenas were almost 100% controller players. 95% controller averages were not uncommon.
Arenas could have been a fun mode but unfortunately EA and Respawn have poor execution with their products and services ( in the gaming community )
Arenas turned out to be a terrible mode with aim assistance abusers. The mode is gone for a reason and shouldn’t come back
