Broken Moon

Broken Moon map would be good if the zip lines are removed. Getting 3rd partied is common on the other maps, but you get 7th partied on this map because of the ziplines.

    I've said before and I'll say again: getting third partied is not a function of any particular map, map size, or method of mobility. It's a feature of all multi-team games. If you grow tired of having it happen to you then you need a game type that has only two teams, or you have to start thinking very carefully about when, where, and how you engage enemies. Start thinking that way and you'll almost never get thirded again. That is, if you can get your random squadmates to understand it as well. Good luck on that one.

    @reconzeroI do believe what you are saying is inconsistent with the intent of the BR game mode. Yes there will be third party plays, but if we make it where everyone expects it all the time, then that will discourage players from making the first move. They will want to be the third party who cleans up.

    However, I must also say that even on Broken Moon, I haven't see any significant difference in third party play frequency. I doubt the zip lines make a bit of difference.

    If anyone plays this game in such a way that they are NOT expecting it all the time then they're setting themselves up for failure. If that makes people play more cautiously then they're finally beginning to understand how this game really works.

    That said, there are many ways to know with some degree of certainty whether you are in a hot spot at a hot time with a high probability of a multi-squad pile up, or whether you are in a cooler place with a lower likelihood of having to face more than one squad at the same time. Many, many ways.

    @reconzero I am still learning the many many ways, but I agree with you. So many times I think we are in the clear, but only if we win the skirmish fast enough.

    And there are times it does surprise me to see a 4th squad come up suddenly from behind us.

    There are three kinds of players if I can put them into categories.

    1) those that want to unwind and couldn't careless if they win or lose. They usually play late at night. (The best team mind set appears between 3-8pm.)

    2) Those (like me) that are overly cautious to the point of being ridiculed by my team.

    3) Those that are good or are cheating and simply clean everyone else up, so they don't hold back.

    Until you become a #3, stick to your guns as a #2. The #3s are the most frustrating to me. Not because they're good, but because they operate purely on aggression and without any fear whatsoever. I can't imagine ever being so good that I could push that hard and that fast and be absolutely certain that failure was impossible. To me that kind of points to cheating. What else could give a player that level of confidence?

    Sometimes its difficult to tell the difference between cat 1 and cat 3 because they are both aggressive and show no signs of fear.

    But I see lots of good players in cat 3 (on my team) that work good as team and push aggressively also.
